I started my care giving career when my mother's health declined and she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. I worked as her personal caregiver through a privately owned company. I enjoy care giving because I love getting to know new people and learning their stories. I love knowing that I'm brightening someone's day just as much as they're brightening mine. I enjoy the company and getting to know my clients, and developing a trustful relationship. I'm currently going to college to pursue a nursing degree, the health care industry is what I'm passionate about! I'm very friendly, outgoing, easy to get along with, very responsible, and have a strong work ethic.

I became a caregiver one because I like helping people that cannot help them self and that I am a giver. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to help people and getting to know people. When my Grandmother and Grandfather were living I was there for them day in night. They were like my best friends, just the smile I would put on there face's when they would see me it was priceless. I am 35yr old with 3 kids with one in college. I have work in home care for a year for my grandparents. Then I went back to school, now I am working in security but I am ready to give back and help other people that may need my help. See I am a family person, I love to make people smile I'm a team player I like helping people when they need my help I don't like to see people down so I do what I can to pick them back up. My mom say that I always put other people before me I have always been that way. I will give the close off my back If I had to.

I knew I wanted to become a caregiver and further my career when I had to take care of my grandmother took care of her for about 3 years and didn't feel as if I was forced it came natural because I'm naturally a caring person toawards everyone . My grandmother gave me the idea of being one so I took her advice and never turned back ! Actually start back school next year to become a RN travel nurse .
