I have over 29. Years working with the elderly. I've been a CNA for 17 years also a medical asst. In 2007. Graduated with associate degree in 2009 my speciality is working with dementia and Alzheimer's

I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is the instant gratification I get to see someone living and thriving despite their current life adjustments. I also love being a caregiver because I love to put people I care about and their needs before mine. I was raised from a young age that if you give back your life will be all uphill. I am most proud of when I worked at my local nursing home, that I was able to provide postmortem care for one of my residents and be humble, respectful and still incorporate as well as care for the needs of my residents' family as well as the resident even in the most darkest of time.

I am very outgoing, and enthusiastic, and my ambition is to help others as much as I can and in any way I can. I didn't know I was made for a career in this field until I was given my first opportunity at another agency, I loved all of my objectives and duties and was fulfilling. Being able to help others with things they cannot do themselves is what I enjoy the most about my position. I am personally proud of the effort I put into this one career, and I hope in the future to be able to expand more with the company I work with.

I am a compassionate individual that has served at risk populations for approximately 17 years. I have approximately 6 months experience working as a personal care provider and I have also provided assistance in daily living skills to my family who have been injured and sick at times. I became a caregiver because I believe it was my calling. I became a CNA in 1992 and worked as one until 2012. My heart is in geriatrics and working with alzheimer patients. I love everything about being a caregiver! I love what I do and feel rewarded at the end of my day knowing I helped to make someone else's life to be just a little bit easier. I moved to Colorado on blind faith and in 6 months, took and received my GED, got a job in housekeeping, my own apartment and attended Otero Junior College, nurse aide program, where I recently graduated having received my CNA license as it had expired. And finished top of my class in Medical Terminology. I'm a hard worker and take a lot of pride in what I do. When it comes to my residents/patients, they always come first. I am eager to get back to doing the work that I believe I'm meant to do.

I became a caregiver to give back to my community. I absolutely love and enjoy making a difference in the lives of others who are less fortunate to do so for themselves. I currently have my Emergency Medical Service license in good standing with the state of Tennessee as well as National Registration of Emergency Medical Technicians and current up to date CPR. I work 36 hours a week for a private EMS service in Nashville and am looking for a few extra hours to pick up during the week. I no longer have a current CNA license but have been licensed in the state of TN and am in good standing to renew my license if I so wish. I just left it expire due to the fact I am working EMS now and no longer working at any nursing homes/assisted living centers where it was required.
