I'm a very caring person I care about my elderly people I make them feel at home and I just love to be around them and I love going out and join the outside world I have a 86 year old grandmother who I take care of I like to cook clean and just have fun and I like going to the park and going for walks I'm just outgoing person

I like to help people feel the best they can. I always loved taking care of people. I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is making my client smile and to feel happy. I've been told I make my clients comfortable and safe.

I've been a caregiver for 14 years. I previously worked for Netflix in Bloomfield, a job I loved. They closed that hub. Someone suggested I try Companion and Homemakers. I figured I would work there until I got a job doing something else that I was interested in. Well, I fell in love with my clients and obviously I never left! I love getting to know my clients and helping to give them the best quality of life.

II believe I am a good care giver because I have so much respect and love for people. I take pride in making the little things important to them, remembered.

What makes me a good caregiver is I'm dependable, responsible, and caring. I've always been attracted to being a caregiver because my grandparents needed a lot of help taking medicine and being cared for. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the conversation and the things I learn from every client. A personal achievement I am proud of is graduating high school.

I am 26 years old and I'm currently expecting my first child. I am looking to help those who need physical help around the house or day to day things, along with just being there as a friend or someone to talk to. My grandmother is legally blind so I have dealt with that my whole life and have been depended on my entire life thus far.

When I always when I was younger I always imagine helping people but my grandmother got got sick when I was at the age of 12 I was able to take care of her she had cancer bone marrow and I had to do everything she talked I had to do everything for her like I was a CNA in like a companion so I went on and pursued my dream and became a companion and PCA so that way I can help people so that way I can help people I have worked with dementia patients Alzheimer patients and also someone in hospice my greatest personal achievement is being able to help somebody and ways they can't

My name is Stephanie. I became a caregiver because I love to help people who cannot help themselves. I like being a caregiver because I like to see that I am making a difference in someones life in a positive way. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that I am enrolled in school again studying Medical Billing and Coding. I have over a year of experience doing home health care and I am certified to work with Allied Health Care Services and I am also part of the Home Health Care Union in CT. I have experience using a hoyer lift for transfers, bathing/bed bathing, nail and hair care, dressing/undressing, toileting/bladder routine, ex. male external catheters and urinary drainage bags, using adult diapers etc. Also I have experience in cleaning and maintaining a clean safe environment for client ex. vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, dishes etc. I also have my own vehicle so I can run errands or go shopping if needed.

I became a caregiver due to the fact my grandmother waa hit by a drunk driver and was now paralyzed from the waist down. I believe thats what makes me a great caregiver because i know first hand how i would want a aide to care for and treat my loved ones. Being a caregiver is a awsome feeling. I adapt to people and how they like/do things and make them feel comfortable.
