Hello, my name is Simone Marcelin. I am a caregiver of 20+ years. I am very flexible in terms of scheduling. I mainly took care of the elderly. I have escorted patients to their doctor appointments. I have helped with hygiene upkeep, and daily medication reminders. I do not have a car but I will soon. No worries as I utilize Lyft/Uber in the meantime. I am originally from Florida. I love a good conversation especially with someone I am going to take care of daily. I try my very best to care for those I've been fortunate to meet. Working with people in a home care setting, it is essential that i the caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion i will let the person that im caring for know that i care about the person and want to do what it takes to help them. working with someone who needs home care it is important that i have patients and understanding. & also it helps to sometimes to put yourself in other person's shoes and see what it might be like to ask people for help. I the caregiver is someone that can be counted on to be there. someone who is trustworthy, reliable & as well as being trusted to keep the clients information confidential.

By showing both empathy and compassion trustworthy reliable caregivers by letting the person know that you Care about them of what you can do to help them . Being a caregiver is such an honor it's all about putting away your needs to assist others. Knowing that a smile on your face can bring joy and happiness to someone else is priceless. The moments when you can reflect back and see how you have helped someone is what caregiving is all about. The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I enjoy their appreciation for you being their caregiver and they seem so grateful. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my mother to be treated if she needed care. I got accepted from ten college

I started working with the elderly when I was 17 years old. My first job was working in the retirement home I've also worked in nursing homes, group homes with special needs and with couples and individuals in their home and with Hospice. I've worked with companies and doing private duty throughout my years working in this field. I love my job and love doing what I do best and that's helping someone get though their days and I can put a smile on their face and they know that there in good hands and their safe at all times.

I am a very welcoming person. I work with a pure heart making companionship and overall caring second nature to me. As I am currently a nursing student I have had many grand opportunities to care for those in need, making me able to adjust to different illnesses and environments. I graduate nursing school this December 2019 and can build a flexible schedule with those who need it.
