Growing up, I've always had a passion for helping others, especially the elderly and kids, I grew up taking of my grandparents, I really love doing so and I was greatfull to spend the times I did with them while they were still here. It is very fulfilling for me to see that I am able to make a difference and make someone's days more agreeable and enjoyable, I wanted to continue doing that so after I graduated from high school, I got my certificate in the home health care field to continue to help caring for others in need.

As individuals age or have developmental disabilities and are in need of extended care outside of the family it is important that the client or patient comes first. Aging or caring for someone with a disability can be very rewarding and it takes someone that is very empathetic and understanding of circumstances. Many of these people that are needing a caretaker we're once fully functional and able to do everything on their own. Therefore these individuals may have feelings of loss and grief due to needing caregiving. They may have had their car taken away or are no longer able to get around the house by themselves. My most recent experience with caregiving was with my grandmother going over daily helping with daily meals, engaging with the physical therapist, medication regimen and transferring from wheelchair to recliner or bed. I feel as though I am also more empathic due to my past history of needing caregiving and understand the challenges mentally and physically that can burden the individual now in need. I am a graduate student of a master of social work graduating this summer 2022, I have worked with many individuals from all backgrounds working in Behavioral Health. My prices are negotiable depending on what is needed and location.

I am a young, energetic, caring, and recently graduated student of FGCU. I have worked for 3 years at Cape Coral Hospital as a Rehab Tech, so I understand the importance and have the skills to preform safe mobility. I have also been trained to care for other important necessities such as hygiene, nutrition, and engaging activities. My ultimate goal is to help your loved one feel safe, happy, and loved.

I became a caregiver to help others who can no longer do for themselves. I love helping other in any way I can, my greatest personal achievement thus far is becoming a certified nursing assistant. I am 20 years old and currently in college working toward a psychology degree. I am a beginner in American Sign Language and love learning about it! Hi. I love helping people of all ages and relate well with everyone. My degree is in special education. I chose this because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. I taught pre-k students with autism and middle school students with behavior, emotional and learning disabilities. I currently work for a Home Health agency in Florida but am relocating to the Lima area. My clients are diverse in their needs and their ages. Three of my clients are visited in their homes and one in an Alzheimer's center. When I visit my clients, my goal is to take care of their needs, help them to have a great time, keep them happy and smiling and make their day brighter. My philosophy is that I take care of my clients the way I would like my family and friends or myself when the time comes, to be cared for. Most of those in the Alzheimer's center can't really communicate their needs. I have gotten to know most of them and love interacting with them. If it's cold, I get them a blanket. If I think they want a snack, I get them cookies or ice cream. Sometimes we sing or dance or paint...anything to keep them active. I am very passionate about caring for others. I love babies and children as well. I believe that play and social skills are as important as an education. Of course learning can be fun :) It is important to be well rounded. Those who know me would say that I am kind, sincere, genuine, responsible, caring, fun, dedicated, helpful, can multi task,

I was a caregiver at Pediatric Services of America & I have also worked for Guardian Angels Adult Care Services in the past. I left for relocation purposes & a higher with other employers at the time.

I am patient and ready to help with anything from daily living to companionship. I am currently going to school for my Master's in School Counseling and have taken a step back this year. I am energetic, I love board games and enjoy puzzles. I am interested in being a caregiver since I am passionate in helping others. My background is psychology, so although I may not have experience in taking care of patients, I understand health disorders. I am patient with the needs of others and feel that I can be helpful for families.

Care giving is one of the most rewarding careers I can think of. You get to give companionship when family can not. I have seen what it means to my husbands 94yr old grandfather and it felt like a calling. I have a culinary certificate, so cooking is not an issue. I am up to date on my CPR/First Aid/AER certification. I just completed my last class for Chemical Dependency Specialist/Mental Health and start clinics in January. In the mean time, I am starting a CNA course to add to my resume and it will be completed on December 8,2017. (These hours do not affect my ability to work during the day). I umderstand through my college work that addiction can impact the elderly and I want to specialize in that for the Polk County Area. I would adore the chance to find a family to work with that will appreciate the variety of different skills I can bring to being a companion!
