I become interested in caregiving after after I started taking care of my Aunt with a stroke. I saw how much joy it brought her, to know that she had someone who cared for her and was willing to help with whatever she needed. It was a very challenging experience at first. I had to learn how to be patient and problem solving very quickly. I knew I made a difference in my Aunt life, and I would love to do the same for others. I made a enormous difference in a person life. I got to be part of a new family and share a long life story with them.

Hello my name is Wilguy Lorvens, and I am writing to express my sincere interest in pursuing a career in nursing. At the age of 18, I have already gained valuable experience as a caregiver for approximately three years, intermittently. This rewarding role has allowed me to fulfill my innate desire to assist those in need, and it has solidified my commitment to pursuing a career in healthcare. Through my experiences as a caregiver, I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that compassionate and dedicated healthcare professionals can have on individuals and their families. I am a great caregiver because i come from a full family with 2 elderly grandmothers and younger siblings ive loved caring for over the years. I enjoy being there for them and helping people in general. It gives me a joy to know im helping make others lives easier. I decided to become a caregiver because i know i have the experience and its something i will enjoy.

I've always loved to help anyone in need of help, in anyway that I could. Less than a year ago my grandmother passed away and for years I was helping her by grocery shopping and cleaning or just spending time with her. The last few months were the hardest with having to help change her diapers and so on, yet they were also the most rewarding. Just being able to be there for her in that way.

Being a caregiver is more than providing care to someone. I enjoy to help by showing but compassion and empathy for the elderly My passion for helping others began during the time that I cared for my grandma with colon cancer. I like my job and I love and respect elders because I feel like they can be my mother or father.

I'm a wonderful listener. I go above & beyond to make sure that the patients are satisfied & comfortable. I play games with the patients but most importantly I listen & will be there for there every need.

What makes me a good caregiver is my personality because I always make them laugh and want to do fun things while on my shift. The things I enjoy most about being a caregiver is laughter and taking a walk with my patients. A personal achievement that I am proud of is getting better and better as I go on my shifts when I'm used to it.
