I am starting a new chapter in life. I was a chef for 18 years but decided to become a CNA last October. My Uncle's disease took over his body and he suffered for months. The last time, my aunt and I put him in the hospital, he almost died in front of us. We watched nurses and doctors surround him and bring him back to life. All I could think was I could do that! I helped my aunt take care of him for months. Very stressful time in my life. When nurses would come to relieve me, I could tell who cared and who did not care about their jobs. There was also a difference in my uncle when I would come back. Because of those things and the big heart I have, I decided to change. That way I can make a different and bigger mark in this world by helping people. I have been a single mom for 10 years of a boy who is 10. It has been a long 10 years but worth every moment. He is a good boy, smart, funny, kind-hearted, strong, and respectful. I am proud of how hard I have worked with him and how he is turning out. I know we still have teenage years to go through, but everything always works out in the end. I do not have much experience in this field yet but I do have the desire, willingness, and knowledge to be a caregivier. I also have a loving heart and in this field that makes a big difference in how things turn out in the end.
