I am very loyal, protective, intuitive, and caring. I have 21 plus years experience in caregiving. Being a caregiver is not for everyone, but what sets me apart from most is I am a natural empath. Working with people in general requires a natural nurturer; which I am. Helping people young or old allows me to experience people on a different scale. I realised caregiving was my calling about 20 years ago. I was offered a private position and I fell in love with it. I enjoy many aspects of being a caregiver. Everyone is different, so I enjoy learning new things about people. I can honestly say I find it fascinating to have the opportunity to help people from all walks of life. I also am proud to say it takes a special individual to overcome adversities and have a positive outlook even after difficult or complicated experiences.

I first became a caregiver when I started taking care of my aging parents. It was imperative to me that they were comfortable, healthy, and happy. I was educated in a lot of things but none of those things satisfied me as much as caring for people who couldn't properly care for themselves. I knew from that satisfaction that, being a caregiver and companion was a gift that I possessed. I feel a since of pride and accomplishment when my clients bond with me to the point that they only want me to care for them.

I am a mature 46 Y/O female with a pleasant personality. I love to smile which allows people that I server and work with, knows that situations are not always dark as they seems. I do realize that by keeping a genuine smiling face, my co-worker are more drawn to me, and patients are more trusting of me and the care that I provides. At the age of 17, my mother was diagnosed with a neurological disease. After graduating from high school, the only noble and ethical thing to do was to care for her at home. At this tender age, I became a caregiver without a certification or license. I took impeccable care of her until she expired. Through those trying times I realize my heart for caring was more than I thought. I enjoy the look on a resident's face as if to say, "You have been a tower of strength through all this", or my co-worker saying " Great job Nurse A". I am so proud that after my mother's passing I did not keep my God given gift to myself , instead I went back to school and became a licensed care -giver to serve others with excellence.

I have been a caregiver for 16 years from California to Georgia, the passion I give with my care can not be beat. I have skills and techniques that set me a part from other caregivers and I do things with my clients not for them and not forcefully. Giving each person a sense of assistance that make them feel good about themselves. Number 1 thing I hear the most... JOB WELL DONE. THANK YOU.

LPN- I have been a loving , conscientious care giver for over 25 years. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse licensed in multiple states. I am IV certified, can give medications and care at homes for also be a companion with advanced skills for those who choose to be home or in the hospital.

I have always liked taking care of people and animals. I know the need that family have when they have a loved one that is hard to care for. I took care of my father and grandmother until they passed. It gave me a sense of perpose to care for others (happy). taking care of my mother she lived four years longer than the doctor stated. Doing for others make my happy.

THE REASON I BECAME A CAREGIVER WAS BECAUSE GROWING UP I TOOK CARE OF MY BABY BROTHER,WHO WAS BORN WITH HIS INTESTINES ON THE OUTSIDE. PLUS,FOLLOWING HIS ILLNESS,MY GRANDMOTHER AND MOTHER HAD STROKES AND NEEDED CAREGIVERS. SOME OF THE NURSES AND CNA'SINSPIRED ME TO GET PAID DOING SOMETHING I WAS PASSIONATE ABOUT.

What attracted me to caregiving is being introduced into as a child. My great-aunt raised me. She was 70 years old. After the passing of my parents. It was jus her and I. My great-aunt took care of me, and I took care of her. We had to rely on each other. And as I grew older, she became very ill, I never left her side. I stayed with her, assisting bed baths, ADL, dialysis etc at the very age of 16. I learned about care giving, As time progressed in dedication of care of her. However, after her demise, I felt it was my duty and passion to be there for others. So I became attracted to the field of caregiving and patient care. What I enjoy most about care giving is the outcome of the individuals. and his or her progress of regaining strength, amongst good health, overcoming there situation. To have a testimony to help others, whom are trying to get past there difficulties. My personal achievement, I am most proud of is working hard to get an associates degree in Associate of Science/Pre-nursing. Which will guide me higher up in the world of health care. So I can obtain my LPN license, and later my RN license. With the right educational tools to be even better caregiver with this journey.

One of the most rewarding things I love about being a caregiver is the fact that I will be able to help others on a daily basis. Through the services and support I am providing, I will be having a direct impact on the quality of life for my clients.

I have been a caregiver for over 20 years. I became a caregiver when my sister's husband was diagnosed with cancer. I don't know why i was chosen to take care of him, but it came natural to me. It's a gift . not everyone can do this type of work, you have to have a heart for it. And God gave me the heart for it! Growing up and as I got older, My grandmother started developing signs if back and hip problems which resulted in a double back surgery and one knee replacement. As for me being certified, I took in the responsibilities of caring and ensuring my grandmother recovered in the most comfortable way possible. It allowed me to witness first hand what elders endure and how patience plays a large role in recovery. I obtained skills through my CNA program as well as caring for my grandmother which let me know I chose the fright career path/choice.
