Empathy is the human emotion of being able to understand and share in the feelings of another person. Without empathy, it is very challenging to connect with another person. An aging loved one's experience may be very different than the caregiver that is working with them. I would be a very good caregiver for that. Hello my name is Gretchen and I am a mother to three boys. I have been in the elderly care and childcare profession for over 25 years. I am currently attending Georgia Highlands College for nursing. This January was four years since I have been going to their school. I finally am able to apply for the nursing program this fall. I have completed all my core classes for my bachelors, so when I do get my degree in Associates in Science of Nursing I can bridge to the BSN program quickly. I am CNA certified. I have my first aid and/CPR AED BLS certification and also got my TB test complete and it came back fine. I also got a back round check as well. I am trying to find a job or a website that offers CNA's that are not linked to agencies. I am also more interested in doing in home care/private care or preferably at Wellstar. I have wonderful references from the families and jobs that I have worked for over the last 25 years. I will say I have taken time off these past four years since I had became a mother again and since I have been attending school these past four years.I live in the Dallas/Acworth area off of Cedarcrest. I am patient, loyal, compassionate, trustworthy & a dependable person who has always loved to care for the elderly, children or anyone who is in need of care. I am hoping to find a private family where the pay is $25 an hour. There is a little room for negotiating on my pay if the job is right for me and my family. But, also making sure I am a great fit for you and your family too!

I say this because it is sometimes impossible to find someone that cares and loves their job. I have always loved going to work. I have had patients tell me all my life "you are here for me" my reply is" I wish we had met under different circumstances" but you are here for me as well. I have never had problems establishing a great rapport with patients. It's because I care about what I do and if the job get completed and the goal was satisfied.

I am a care giver naturally. I love helping others. I took care of my parents before they passed my Dad had cancer and wanted to stay home until he passed and I helped him through his journey. Feeding changing his bed administering pain meds and checking vitals. My Mom had a stroke several years later and kelp her at home for 5 years. I trained as a CNA but because of personal reasons was unable to finish . I can take vital signs, bath,assist to bathroom cook clean anything necessary to help a loved one stay at home and be as comfortable as possible. Even though my last job didn't envole complete care to an individual I did assist them several them times over my 20 years when they were sick. I've raised 3 children 3 grandchildren. I'm married to a wonderful caring husband. It's unfortunate in this time of my life because of covid I am now having to seek employment because my employer is down sizing . I look forward to meeting my next family to help and take care of their needs . I love to serve others. I choose to look up not down when things take a crazy turn. Looking forward to what lies ahead.

My grandmother inspired me to become a caregiver. I took care of her my whole life! Meal prepping, walking and transportation, surgery recovery, companionship. She was my rock. I believe seniors deserve the best care in the world it has to offer!

Cared for the Developmentally Disabled in a group. Worked in a "Half-Way House" caring for mentally ill. Long Term Care Unit in the Copper Queen Community Hospital. Oct 1999 Marietta Ga Supervisor Caregiver, Assisted Living Home. Worked in a Family Practice, Woodstock. Assisted Living seduced me back as Wellness Director. Motherhood sent me to Hospice as a private contractor for 2 years. Hospital work w/ 12hr/ 3days wk. Perfect for school! Then..my second son came in 2008. 2 small children is much more work then having one!In 2009 it became obvious there is no "perfect time" Kennesaw State University for general ed. 2012 onto to Ga Highlands College. Graduation in 2015. and to speak the vows of the nurse. Emergency room nurse, floating to all sorts of units. Knowing that I couldn't forget about the dying and scared, an old calling moved me to become a Hospice Nurse. My ignorance of the business within medicine soon drove to crave the ER again. Corporate work was predictable and I was not required to deal with the money coding and approvals of Medicare to see the patient. Nursing and Medicine doctors should not be asked to deal with tge money side of Healthcare. So, back the ER. COVID called out. 14 months COVID Reponder. Divinely driven to nurse, advocate, teach, comfort, study, suggest, sweet talk, elude safety and confidence as I proceed to provide the needed care and whatever that may entail fir as long as I can. I became a caregiver because I love Providing Support for Those Who Need It Most. -There is great joy in helping someone who is unable to fully care for him/herself. Whether a patient is impeded by age, illness, injury, or another factor, the assistance with daily activities provides empowerment for others and fulfillment for yourself. I love Making Someone Smile. -All jobs are hard, but few offer the immediate satisfaction of seeing a smile on someone’s face. Improving My Confidence. -My confidence was low going into this career, but it did not stay there. Providing care for patients requires decisiveness and self-trust. Hello, my name is Emily Cox and I'm a 25 year old whom is currently in college working towards my business degree. I like being a caregiver because I enjoy spending quality time with someone that I can help. I never feel like a "babysitter" when I help take care of a senior citizen. I find it as a blessing to be able to hear their stories and maybe learn a few things from them! I know when to entertain, and when to give them their peace. I also am strong enough to be able to help when it comes to heavy lifting. I have experienced people with alzheimers disease and dementia and know the proper skills when dealing it.

I'm a CNA with 7 years of experience in several different medical settings. I currently work for Wellstar in the trauma ICU taking care of critically ill and injured patients. I have a lot of experience with hospice and oncology patients as well. I have experience with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients while working in the memory care unit at a nursing home. I have experience with dialysis in the hospital. I also have experience with special needs and neurological disorders (seizures, stroke, head injury, etc).
