A big smile from my client's face every morning makes my day, looking forward for the next day is a plus. I have taken care of my elderly parents for many years and that was what attracted me to being a caregiver. I love talking and helping elderly people. Most importantly is to keep them clean, comfortable and happy. I have had a chance to take care of an elderly woman since she was 92 years old. She had dementia and was completely blind. For six years I was with her 5 nights a week. She has taught me a lot of patience. Patience, patience and more patience.

I grew up seeing her does her job with her heart; with passion & commitment. And I want to be like her. I am CPR/ First-Aid trained. I have been working as a caregiver for over 4 years now. I have worked with an Alzheimer's lady before; she cannot walk or stand on her own. I have worked with a paralyzed but very sweet woman. I am working part time with a Parkinson's elderly man( have trouble speaking and swallowing). I've worked with elderly people that no longer can walk or stand on their own( follow them every where they go incase of a fall. I treat my patients like Kings&Queens because they deserve it. I am willing to do light house keeping. I know how to handle showers, help dress, personal hygiene such as wiping and changing diapers. I can give foot massages. Medication prompting. I can prepare meals. I can assist with daily exercises, walkings, and monitor him make sure he doesn't stand up on his own. I have my own transportation. Well actually i have the heart Of a great caregiver, I was studies in different field but when my grandma sick, I was the only one that available to take care of her, that's when I start to love this job cause it's the connection and time that I spent with my grandma, I would say that it's a blessing that I take care of her. Ever since I fell to this kinda job. I just love the connection between I and the client. I've been a supervisor in a home care and I am proud of that, now I'm planning to continue on studies in this field. CNA first and more in the future!

Im a high school graduate.I have been a caregiver for 6-7 years.After completing my high school I decided that I wanted to be a full time caregiver.I started my first job working at a private home and did part time at the retirement facility. Im very passionate caring responsible kind honest and hardworking. Some of the duties included: -working with Dementia,Alzheimer's,Diabetic and High blood pressure patients -Personal care such as bathing,grooming and dressing -Feeding and lightcooking -Companionship -Light housekeeping -Accompany to appointments -Medication reminder -Walking to parks and going to activities -create safe and secure environment for my clients -inform and discuss clients needs with his/her family member.

I am friendly and love meeting new people. I would visit my aunt, a caregiver, and often I would help assist some of her client's basic needs. I treasure the memories I have with her including when I used to lay on her bed with her when I would get home from school and she would scratch my back and tell me stories about her life.
