When my friend's mother came home in need of 24/7 care, I couldn't let him do it alone. The challenges and victories that we experienced together as she recovered were as a whole one of the most important experiences of my life and I would like to continue to help improve the lives of others in both big and small ways. My goal is to help. In whatever ways that I can to make someone else's life a little easier that day.

I became a Caregiver because I am a very compassionate person who will put others first and will assist someone with an intellectual disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life. My personal achievements for the past 9 years of being a Caregiver is basically all my clients have lived longer than was expected by the Healthcare Professionals, and Families . I have also been awarded employee of the month twice in those eight years. I have been blessed with the skills and knowledge to have been able to take care of my Grandmother for the past 4 years before she pass away in 2012. She had congested Heart Failure, Dementia, High Blood Pressure and a Brain Hemorrhage. I am also a very trustworthy and punctual my healthcare credentials are valid.

I take pride in assisting with the care of a person who can not do for themselves. I enjoy making them know they are safe and loved. I am thankful I was able to take care of both of my parents.

I became a caregiver to start on my path of nursing and because that is where my passion lies. I like that i am able to help clients and make them feel safe and protected.I am proud of my clinets being able to have someone to depend on. I am a very well rounded person who takes my job very seriously and has a passion working with my clients.

My philosophy for care is simple: I give the level of care as I would want to receive. My experiences include, and not limited to Alzheimer's and other types of dementia, Parkinson's Disease, stroke victims, lung and heart disease, surgery recovery, hospice care, complete management of a household, bathing, meal planning and prep, shopping, doctor visits, medication ordering/distribution, respite, and I will continue to learn.
