I am a dedicated and loving person. I am an EMT and Medical Assistant who would like to work at home, I have a heart full of compassion and enjoy caring for others. Helping people has been a passion of mine for many years. My mother was diagnosed with a neurological disorder when I was three. For many years, I was her primary caregiver and watched her struggle with chronic pain. I started realizing that the basic stretches and exercises I was doing in ballet class could help her regain some of her strength and alleviate some of the pain she was experiencing. After doing this for many years, I also realized that what I was doing may be able to help the over 100 million Americans living with chronic pain. So, a few years ago I put all of the basic stretches, exercises, and ballet moves into a class format and began teaching. I started locally at nursing homes, schools, and children's hospitals. Then I quickly began expanding the program, teaching my Dancing Through the Pain classes all over the United States and becoming an ambassador and spokesperson for the U.S. Pain Foundation. I would love to be able to help you or your family member just like I helped my own family through times of trouble!

I have been a caregiver in some respects since 1981, when I had the first of my five children! I earned CNA licensure in 1993 or so, and worked in the hospital setting in various departments. I have spent the last 17 years in another form of caregiving -- that is, teaching Spanish in public high school , tutoring, and in industry. I re-certified my CNA licensure a few years ago, and am interested in finding part-time work at present. Thank you.

I like working with Seniors and taking time to listen to them. I am glad to help make their life at home the best it can be with whatever limitations they have. I like to keep people and their homes clean. I am not a fancy cook, but will provide meals according to their dietary needs. I have worked for companies that manage special needs group homes, and I have worked for home caregiver companies - but I prefer home caregiver positions.
