I'm a hard worker with the heart of gold

I became a CNA because it was the first step in becoming a nurse. I enjoy being able to take care of individuals less fortunate than myself. I've worked with individuals in hospitals,LTC,home,assisted living facilities as well. I've always been awarded or complimented for my work.

I am exciting fun a good person to be around I love helping the clients and showing what I can do to be of service I wanted to be a care giver because I love helping others and being there to do what I can to help what I enjoy most is getting to know the client learning there liked and dislikes and what they like to do as an individual my personal achievement is to learn more expand my skills and be a better person

Hi My name is Carla. I'm 54 years young. Married 28 years with 2 daughters in college. I've been an Intensive Care RN for 29 years. Worked various fields including Burn Unit, Medical/Surgical and Trauma units. In home Hospice/ Palliative care. Rendered live in care to in laws for 1 year until their passing. During which time license and accreditations expired. No desire to return to hospital setting which led me to private care giving and care to my family. I very much enjoy and get great satisfaction from helping people to enriched lives. I've been blessed with the relationships of my patients and being a part of their lives. I'm very active. I'm a very caring woman and my personal thoughts are that our older generation needs to be taken care of because of all they have done for us I truly believe that is what is wrong with this world today the younger generation does not respect our elders The reason why I became a caregiver is personal I seen my great grandma and grandmother go into nursing homes and be left they were not taken care of and forgotten my Passion is to try to make every day a special day to make my clients feel like someone does care I'm not affraid of hard work I'm proud that when I either leave for the day or if I'm a live in caregiver that the person I'm taking care of is happy and safe and satisfied that's my goal to bring a little enjoyment in someone's life I'm very patient and I feel if we don't get it done on the first try I will not give up until the task is done
