Hi, my name is Victoria and I am interested in being a caregiver. I recently graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. I have been a private caregiver for an elderly client with Alzheimer's disease since August 2015. However, he is being moved to a memory care facility and I wish to continue working as a private caregiver. I am passionate about caring for others because I find fulfillment in helping others.

I am a current nursing student and have completed my mental health, community, and medical surgical clinical. I worked in an infirmary for a monastery from when I was 15 until I graduated high school and I continue to help out on the holidays when needed. I am compassionate and dedicated. I am punctual and professional. I have always felt drawn to caring for life at all stages. To me, being a caregiver is about the connections I make with the people I work with. I feel that I have a lot of love and patience to give and I always leave feeling that both the person I am caring for and myself feel better after the interaction. I am proud of how comfortable I feel with death and the dying process; I have helped people who are very independent and I have helped people who are bedridden at the end of their life; I think it is important to provide quality of care to all walks and stages of life. I am ready to start working as soon as possible and I have very flexible hours until the end of August when I begin my senior year at Loyola. I can still help out then but I will have to work around my class schedule.

Hi there! My name is Kate and I am a second year pre-medical student at Loyola. I am a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and work on an ambulance when school is not in session. That position is too demanding for my pre-med school schedule, however, so I am looking for a part time job in which I can use my medical skill and knowledge in order to cover my rent and grocery fees. I have had my EMT license for 3 years now and have experience with lifting and moving patients of all sizes and disabilities, bed side manner, and basic medical care. I became a caregiver/ nursing assistant, because it is natural for me to care for others. It allows me the opportunity to do what I do best, give of myself. I truly believe that this is what I am suppose to do in life. I like being able to give comfort and assistance to others when they need. Motherhood has been my greatest personal achievement in life.
