Hi there! I am seeking a full-time or part-time opportunity as caregiver/CNA for the elderly. I prefer to work shifts that are 6-12 hrs long. I am a certified nurse assistant and a certified phlebotomist. I have also completed clinical rotations as a student nurse. I am CPR/AED certified and have years of experience taking care of people of all ages. Before attending college, I worked as a CNA for a home-agency. I enjoy working with the elderly and providing companionship, as well as helping with daily living activities. I am a Nursing Student at the University of St. Francis and plan to be a caregiver for my whole life. I come from a very caring family of 7 which has taught me much compassion, patience, and care. I love being able to make a difference in someone's life by caring for them and I have a burning desire to make a positive impact on everyone I meet and can help in any way. I am a certified Professional Rescuer through the Red Cross and will receive my CNA through my nursing education. I also plan on joining the Peace Corps someday to care for those who have a lack of care in foreign countries. I felt called to work with disabled adults. I began by working in an intermediate care facility where I fell in love with the residents! Since that time, I have worked in private home care with both disabled adults and the elderly. I have a reputation for my excellent care and personal touch with each person. I have also decided to pursue a career in nursing, and have acquired my CNA license in the state of Illinois this past summer. I look forward to continuing in home healthcare as I pursue my nursing degree and hope for a successful partnership with your organization.
