I have worked in the Health Care field for over 17 years. I received bachelor's of Arts in 2015 from Iowa State and my Masters Of Public Health in 2019 from Purdue University. I love working with people and improving their lives. I'm a people person and have worked in many different care facilities, from hospitals to homes to assisted living facilities. I love being that person to put a smile on peoples faces. I believe in continuing education and I am in the process of getting my doctorate in Education. I'm open minded and believe in quality care. I also believe in living your best life and making positive change in the world. '

I became a caregiver because I like to help people. Recieved my Illinois license as a nurses aide in 1997 and my Indiana License in 2007. Although I'm trying to process out of the hospital setting, I currently work at Kindred Hospital in Hammond, caring for patients with various serious health issues. As of November 2017, I became a Licensed Childcare provider. Also as of April 2018, I passed qualifications to Substitute Teach for the School City of Hammond.

I am basically a "people" person who likes interacting with and helping others. I had my first taste of caregiving working as an aid in a nursing home when I was 21. I developed such a tight bond with the patients I cared for and was hooked. My ethics are simple- treat others the way I would like to be treated. My greatest accomplishment as a caregiver has been seeing that I have added to the quality of life of those I care for. I once cared for a lady and although she never complained, I sensed that she had lived a difficult life. As I was tucking her into bed one night,she looked up at me and told me that she had never had anybody treat her "so nice" in her whole life. That brought tears to my eyes.

I have been a paid caretaker for 9 years, primarily for children. I have experience working with both children and adults with various kinds of special needs and truly love that area of care. I have a heart for older people having seen family members through Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and a stroke. Families have a lot on their minds and want the best care for their loved one. That's the kind of care I provide, as I treat each person like my family. I also have a calming personality, gentle nature and patiently care for others.

After being the caregiver for parents, I fell in love with giving and helping those in need. I voluntarily attend and provide companionship to the seniors in senior living community were is so much joy and community. I love sharing my love for movement by taking them on walks and having great conversations. I know how to enter and live in their world whether they have dementia or other needs.

I have 2 grandchildren I love to spend time with and love pets. I am a Bible based Christian who loves the Lord. My parents passed away several years ago. I miss being with them and hearing stories of their childhood. I have a therapy dog who I used to take to visit hospital patients until he started aging. I understand it is difficult to find reliable and trustworthy help for family members so I pledge I will take care of your family member as I do my own.

I have dedicated my career to social work and helping others. I am outgoing and use humor often. I am flexible and rarely get over excited about conflicts or people raising their voice. I have a calming voice tone and am an active listener. I am creative and like to do all sorts of crafts or coloring. I find it's a good stress relief. I help care for an elderly couple now which I do as volunteer work since they are like family. I find the addition of cleaning, organizing, and being a companion very rewarding. I enjoy seeing that I have made a difference and have been able to make someone smile. I am proud of the success stories that I have been lucky to be part of over the years. I am fortunate that some of the families who have had success maintain contact with from time to time in addition to sending pictured. This is just priceless.

I am a Christian woman with 3 babies and a husband with Chronic Lyme disease. After becoming ill myself 3 years ago I dived into Health and Wellness and have become an expert at using diet, nutrition and herbs to regain health from auto immune disorders such as Hoshimotos, multiple sclerosis, Lyme disease, Lupus and other forms of disease and illness. I also managed high blood pressure and diabetes with diet and herbal medicine. I am in my third year at Purdue University earning my Bachelors of Science in health and Wellness to become a Chiropractic Functional Medicine Doctor. I would love nothing more than to help the sick become well. I am a full time mother and my 3 year old daughter and 8 month old would work with me. I prefer the elderly or disabled that love to spend time with my children. I have found that my kids help heal the sick with their companionship!!! I also like to use scripture for strength and healing but I'm willing to leave it out if families have different beliefs but I vow to love your loved ones as if they are my family as well!

Hello! My name is Debby. I live in Franklin, IN and I'm 44 years old. I recently cared for my mother after an emergency open heart surgery. It was rewarding for me to help get her well, plus we kept each other company! I helped daily with cooking, housekeeping, shopping, laundry, bathing, wound care, exercise and help with medications. My mom has fully recovered and back at home now. I would love to continue to help care for anyone in need. My strengths are patience, compassion and loyalty.
