I have been in sales and marketing most of my 35+ years of professional experience. I got out of professional industry to take care of my parents who needed full time assistance; would trade it for the world, although I miss them terribly. Since I have grown even more interested in taking care of those in need, sharing stories and laughter...best medicine. My daily goal is to make a person laugh or smile daily.

One of the things I love about caregiving is being able to help other people and seeing their potential! Knowing that I can be of some help to them and make a difference is the greatest gift! What attracted me to being a caregiver was that I did not know the need was so great for so many populations that need help! One of the personal achievements that I am proud of is that I love to advocate for those in need.

I worked in healthcare as a CNA for 12 years. I worked mainly with the elderly during that time. I have experience working with people who have dementia and Alzheimer's. I am very patient, kind and understanding which is needed when working with the elderly.

I am a very upbeat and happy person. I love to make people smile, laugh and enjoy life. I am kind, patient, dependable, honest, trustworthy, gentle, hard working, intelligent, compassionate, understanding, and have a great sense of humor. I love animals, all of them! My favorite place to be is outdoors, primarily hiking and swimming. I truly enjoy meeting new people. I also love spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I enjoy reading, writing, board and card games, movies, cleaning, cooking. When my fraternal grandmother entered a care home when I was 12, I went to visit her every day. I was shocked to see how many elderly patients had no one who visited them. So I unofficially became a volunteer and would visit other residents; reading to them, talking, playing games, dancing, whatever brought a little joy back into their lives. Caregiving has been a part of my life ever since. I took care of my maternal grandmother who had severe rheumatoid arthritis and Dementia in her home until she passed away. I then moved my mother in with me when she was first diagnosed with Alzheimers and cared for her until her death 10 years later. I also cared for one of my brothers who was diagnosed with end stage Dementia at the age of 58 and passed away right before his 61st birthday. So I completely understand what loved ones must go through as family members become older, sick, or suffer from an injury. What I enjoy most about being a Caregiver is simply helping someone who needs it, especially if it allows them to remain in their own home. A personal achievement that I am proud of is raising such loving, kind, respectful, and amazing children.

Hello! I have 25 years experience in the medical field and can provide comprehensive care including wound care, Physical and Occupational Therapy, medication management, accompany patients to Doctors visits, as well as cooking, cleaning, organizing, pet care, etc. I am a Physician Assistant but not going back into my career after a car wreck. Caregiving has been a large part of my life from a young age. I was lucky enough to have helped care and tend to my great-grandparents in their 90's for many years while I grew up. As a student at the University of Kentucky I first majored in pre-med studies until junior year when I established that I would pursue health administration. I began my first position as a caregiver (home health aide) as a freshman in college with an individual who is paraplegic. The job entailed taking care of another human-being completely dependent on my skills as an able-bodied person. Not only have I acquired experience caregiving for this individual and others alike for four years and counting, I have also babysat and been a nanny many times during and in between. The other position I hold dear to me is not only working with people but working with animals as well. I have had extensive experience with horses, dogs, and cats from the various farms and vet clinics I have interned for. As a multitasker and a fun loving and caring individual I feel I am an ideal candidate for your position.

My passion for helping others branches from my family. As I grew up I was surrounded by nurses. My grandmother was a va nurse. So you could often find me visiting with the residents.
