I have a great personality. I am very dependable, patient, pay attention to detail. Taking care of family members attracted me to wanting to be a caregiver. What i enjoy most about caregiving is i like taking care of others, especially the one's that can't do it on their own or need some assistance. One of my personal achievements that i am proud of is starting college.

I am a mother of 2, I also just adopted my foster daughter and my 5 month old grandson . I'm a DSP worker for the state . I work with adults and children with disabilities. I love spending time with my children and sisters . We go bowling , drive in movies and freeman lake for family time .I'm looking for a family for long term care , I enjoy helping others and learning new techniques and religions I'm the oldest of 7 so caregiving has been apart of my life for awhile . My over all goal is to open a residential agency . I became a private caregiver due to previous experience, such as working as a CNA in the past , some rewarding but working as a CNA under others I come to realize that other providers may not have the same passion as you and is only there to receive a check . I'm more passionate due to be being raised in the foster care system

My name is Alexandria but I got by Ally, I graduated from Jefferson Community Technical College in May of '19 with my associates degree in Human Service, since then I have worked in a memory care facility catering to those whom suffer from Alzheimer's and Dementia. I have experience in housekeeping, which I am open to doing. I recently graduated from RightChoice Healthcare Institute with a Certificated Nursing Assistant. I have to 2 kids and wonderful supportive boyfriend. Taking care of the elderly is something that I've just grown up around, when I was a kid I would go to the senior citizen's with my great grandmother a church. I find that it's easier to care for the elderly when you realize all they offer, from knowledge and wisdom to just good ole stories from "back in their day"

Caregiving is a special job to me because it connects you to people on a level that no one but the two of you will understand. I have worked with many families through a home health company I used to work for and many of my clients became a second family. I present a professional and intelligent manner in regards to healthcare, but I also know the importance of remembering that who you are taking care of is a human being who gets angry and frustrated and embarrassed. I am patient and kind and this field is my passion. The connections that I have made with previous clients is what I'm most proud of in my three year career in senior care. I have just been accepted to Galen College of Nursing where I hope to gain an associates degree with credentials in neonatal care. I'd like to go back to get my masters to work as a neonatal nurse practitioner.

Being a caregiver is not a easy job. As a certified Nursing Assistant, I always keep in mind, I am helping someone who used to be independent now have to rely on someone else. Let me tell you to this job, you have to a call in to do so. It likes God call in someone to a minister. This job requires love and caring, as well as respect for the elders and I also love what I am doing.

I am the type of person to look at things differently, these clients aren't a source of income, they are my extended grandparents, they need love and care just like my late great grandparents. Nurturing can go a long way

I am twenty years old and I have a two year old son I'm really looking forward to doing inhome care because I feel like it will be easier for me to just be able to take care of one person every day while I'm going back to school. I have been working in nursing home for about two years now and although I love my clients at my nursing home I feel it would be less stressful doing inhome care while I'm going back to school. I love being a caregiver because I love taking care of people. I love making my clients happy bye taking care of them and helping them perform their daily duties like bathing, grooming, and toileting. It makes my day to make my client happy and to know I've met my clients needs for the day. Im a very fun, loving, caring person and I will be sure to put my clients needs first and keep a smile on their face.

I have been a Caregiver for 1 year now and I am currently employed at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. I love being a caregiver and caring for the elderly. I have extensive training in Dementia/ Alzheimer's care. I work on the dementia unit at the nursing home and I have attended Hand-in-Hand Training for dementia. I have learned different ways to help these patients with daily tasks, as well as when they agitated and upset. I have worked the Silver Angels Program at The Masonic Home, which is a dinner-time group with dementia patients to help them with sundowning and agitation before dinner until bedtime. The majority of our patients need intermediate to complete care. My favorite part about being a caregiver is getting to build relationships with the elderly and their families, as well as learning about their lives.

I have a special place in my heart for those that suffer from memory loss due to Alzheimer's and other diseases. I have taken care of both private and residential clients. My goal is to ensure your loved ones get the care they need while feeling as independent and safe as possible.

The most important thing is communication and respect, the treatment you give people is what makes you different. I started this job because I love working with people who appreciate what you do for them .I do have already several certifications .
