Hi I'm Amanda. I am 43 years old and I have been caring for others most of my life and I find it the most rewarding and joyful part of my life. It helps me more to extend a hand when I can. I have about 6 years of private duty care experience. I have found that sadly our world doesn't have enough folks that are able to kindly give time to those in need and therefo9re have found my own purpose in life. If I can change a bad day to an acceptable day for just one person then I am rewarded with the feeling it gives me. That is much gratitude for the ability to do so and also the opportunity that person gave me and I am forever greatful for that.

Growing up , my father was always hospitalized due to heart complications which introduced me into nursing , and I consider it 2nd nature. Ascending from a long line of caregivers, I have 20 years experience in senior care. I have worked work alzhiemer patients, dementia patients and cared for my mother who suffered from cancer. I am very patient and gentle. I enjoy caring for the elderly.

I had the best example.. my grandmother has been taking care of elderly in her home for over 40 years so she taught me everything that I needed to do this job I feel like God gave me this calling. Everyone that I have taken care of I still remember them to this day. It is a privilege than on a car of a person last moment on her or the last few years.

I am a nursing student. I just finished my lpn program and waiting to take the NCLEX. I am then going for my RN but as for now I am looking for a job in healthcare until I take my NCLEX.
