I became a care giver when my father had lung cancer, I lived with him and was his soul caregiver. I also cared for my mother in law that had alzheimer's for eight years. My brother was born with cp and had 21 surgeries over his childhood. We all played apart in his recovery he now has a job at AAA! I have worked at customer Service at Kohl's department store for eight years and enjoy working with the public meeting new people and helping people! I only work one day a week for health benefits. My heart is helping people feel better. Currently working at home instead but looking for one or two clients in my area Taylorsville. back ground check is available upon request

I enjoy helping others in a variety of capacities. I have worked for a handful of individuals who have had SCI's and am constantly amazed by their determination and their ability to continue on with life. I feel that I am constantly learning and would love to pass on my knowledge to others. I feel that my job isn't "cookie cutter", it is truly about making the life of my client easier in whatever way possible. No task is too small if it is what needs to be done. My parents taught me two things that I try to incorporate into every job that I have. One to leave things better than you found it, and to do what needs to be done, before you are asked to do it. I am very good with details, and while it may take me a day or two to learn a new schedule or program, I know that I will be doing it the way that you want it done. With my experience with SCI, people don't have a lot of control over their own lives, and I make it my first priority to give as much of it back to you as I can.

I've always loved helping elderly people. Part of what makes me a great caregiver is that people I care for tell me I understand them even when no one else seems to. I ask lots of questions to determine what they want and need. Therefore, they have the maximum autonomy, independence and happiness possible, which is definitely what I would want for myself. I also have the gift of extreme patience when working with elderly people with dementia. They never drive me crazy, most likely because of lots of exposure early in life to that sort of thing. Of course, I'm completely trustworthy. But I also have unusually high integrity, excellent values and am unusually responsible and capable. I have extensive college training in medical information and know what to do. I've been trained by some of the best private caregivers in Louisville and have a network of other excellent caregivers. I have a very wide range of experience in this area up to and including working closely with hospice staff. I'm a multi-talented individual who's an unusually accomplished American. Therefore, I have all kinds of personal achievements I'm proud of. I simply enjoy this type of service and autonomy more than most types of professional work I've done.

I have 10+ years experience working in healthcare from home health, hospitals, and nursing homes. I am CPR/BLS certified. I am comfortable with pets as well.

I am a very loving and nurturing individual. I have tender spot for the elderly community and others with special needs or deficits. Caring for your family member will truly bring me joy. Being a licensed speech therapist assists me with understanding what an older person is experiencing through a scientific and research-based viewpoint. I also have a grandmother with Dementia, so ability to empathize with them and their family helps me give them the care and compassion they need to feel comfortable with whatever their circumstances are. Hello! I am a full-time nursing student with 1.5 years of caregiving experience in a nursing home setting. This being said, I am comfortable with dementia and rehabilitation as well as assisting with companionship.

I have worked in Assisted Living communities for 9 years. I was an activity director for 7 of those years and I am currently director of a memory care unit. I love working with the elderly population, I find it very rewarding. I think it's important to hear their stories and in a society where youth is everything, it's important that they have someone making them feel needed and wanted and they are still a vital part of society. 5 years as a caregiver

It's my passion to help people. Six years ago I started as a computer engineering major at the University of Louisville only to find it wasn't nearly as fulfilling as I hoped it would be. I needed to feel that I was making a difference through social interaction. After quitting my job at UPS I found a job at a local hospital as a nursing assistant and instantly found my calling. Fantastic schedule and air conditioning were just the tip of the iceberg with this profession. Now with a couple years of experience I've decided to pursue a nursing degree and I'm currently working at Mayo Clinic on the abdominal transplant unit. Wouldn't change how any of this has worked out.

I am a 44yo male with a significant medical background and clinical experience. I can provide basic or advanced complicated care. I was a fire/ems professional for 15 years, a former Marine, and have masters level nursing training, 1 semester shy of graduation. I will be available Sept 5, 2019. I can speak basic Arabic and have basic conversational skills in other languages or can learn a required one. I have molecular experience from Stetson University and ultimately graduated from UofL with a genetics degree. I have specialized experience in wound care and parkinsons patients with dementia.
