My name is Tonyatta Wallace. I have a bachelors degree in speech pathology with a specialty in the mental health/social services field as a behavioral health specialist/caregiver. I have experience in home and nursing home setting. I have experience with housekeeping, medication management, toileting, meal preparation, companionship. I enjoy being a companion and caring for those in need the most about being a caregiver. I'm punctual, detail oriented, CPR certified, compassionate, friendly.Caregiving is a way to be able to give back to others in need . An accomplishment of mine was achieving my first supervisory position, and successfully caring for my grandmothers who both were diagnosed with dementia .

-dependable, caring , understanding, reliable, attention-based , outgoing, -wanting to help people in need, everyone doesn't have people in their life that are able to help them to level that they may need, sometimes people need help, so wanted to be that person that was able to do so. -What I enjoy most, being someone that a person can depend on for help and assistance, as I stated everyone doesn't have that help available to them. -a personal achievement that I am most proud of is graduating college, going through and completing such a milestone .

What attracted me to being a caregiver is the fact that some of the elderly don't have family and friends to spend the rest of their days with. Its the fact that I could put a smile on their face throughout the day for a few hours to make them feel like someone care. Even if the patient has family and friends. What i enjoy the most about caregiving is being able to help someone in need. And also the stories they have to tell. A personal achievement I am proud of is being able to get a car fully on my own. It took me a while to be able to and now I finally can. And that puts a smile on my face.

I'm a great communicator, very patient and empathic. I have been a nurse for 10 years and my experiences over those years has shaped me into an awesome caregiver . The joy of seeing that I'm able to take care of my patients and seeing their pleased faces attracted me to being a caregiver. What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is the ability to keep my patients joyful . I can feel a whole page with my personal achievements , but one of them was the ability to finish nursing school and start my masters in information systems .
