Thank you for viewing my profile. I am a 26 year old young man who is new to caregiving and is interested in helping others. I have beliefs and values that teach me to respect and help others whether it may be the elderly, disabled or someone who just needs a companion in their time. I look forward to caregiving because I enjoy helping and making someone's day better.

I started companion/caregiving when an acquaintance of my mother needed help in Palm Beach, Florida. I worked for her, part-time, live-out, for over two years. It was rewarding and fulfilling, and I helped her with everything in her life, until she passed away. I also took care of my mother in the last years of her life, dealing with her Kidney failure and the awful issues that accompany that condition. It was a honor to be with her so much and return the love she had always given to me. Three years ago my own husband had a series of strokes. I have been his sole caregiver ever since. I have helped him with everything needed to live, including 'Brain games" to help his memory. He has made significant progress in all areas; I am comfortable to leave him. Companion care is what I was meant to do. I understand the issues of aging and disability and I know of the loss of self-respect when frailty takes over. I respect the beauty of living a long time, and the wisdom and judgement that goes with that achievement. I am college-educated, I live in West Hollywood. I am the mother of two grown sons, both now married, and I am the grandmother of a two-year-old grandson and a newborn grand-daughter. For many years, I curated and managed my husband's art and photography. I responded to inquires on the website (www.lensteckler.com), I showed his work to perspective buyers, I worked with galleries and dealers, and curated exhibitions. I am reliable, organized, and compassionate.

I worked for a company in Massachusetts with the deaf using sign language in a few different group homes. It's not an easy job nor are others but I love what it has to offer; helping people. Many years ago I was the owner and administrator of an assisted living community and I realized a passion for caring for others. While living in Az I had the pleasure of helping two elderly friends They were very dear to me. I just completed my hha course I am very patient and caring I've always enjoyed helping others I've greatly enjoyed my teaching career and look forward to enriching the lives of the elderly

I grew up in a small town in MA with four siblings, and pursued a career in nursing as I felt this best fit my personality and wanted the challenge that nursing provided. I easily connect with people and am an optimistic person, always trying to find the positive in any situation, able to be realistic and honest with others. I find great pleasure caring for others and making their life easier. I am proud and thankful that I was able to provide care for our immediate family and now find, with a new move to Vermont, that I have the time and energy to continue this with friends and neighbors in our southern area of Vermont.

As a recent graduate of The William F. Connell School of Nursing at Boston College, I believe I possess a holistic scope of practice. My personal philosophy and education has yielded that I provide high-quality care to any and all clients. My experience in clinical rotations at competitive and renown hospitals; being Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women's Hospital have allowed me to work alongside strong collaborative teams of doctors and excellent nurses. Medicine holds an extreme significance to me, as I have cared for my mother when she was terminally ill with stage 4 gallbladder cancer. I thoroughly enjoy being a woman for others and allievating clients therapeutically.

I am reliable, fixable, empathy and compassionate person. Taking care of elderly that need my help gives me joy in my heart and the appreciation I get for helping is priceless. Also, working with the elderly to see them become independent is so rewarding.
