Hello, my name is Karen Palmer. I started doing in-home health care in 2010. I knew at an early age that working in the healthcare field was something that I wanted to do. I believe it is my calling from God. Therefore, I put my all into the care I provide for each individual. A few of my personality traits are caring, compassionate, understanding, loyal, and trustworthy. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is both of my parents were CNAs, and as a child, they often took us to visit their job. I can remember sitting there watching the residents and feeling the need to help. It has always been in my heart to help those in need, and I was placed on earth to care for those individuals when needed. The things I enjoy the most about being a caregiver are knowing I did my best to help someone and seeing how thankful they are that I could help. The personal achievements that I am most proud of are returning back to school, receiving a High School Diploma, and graduating from college with an Associate degree. I did something I never thought about doing, and I did it for my children and myself. I couldn't be more proud of myself for setting goals and seeing them through to the end.

I'm a loving, compassionate and empathetic person who loves helping people who are no longer able to help themselves. I am a great listner and communicator who puts my patients first. Honest, loyal, punctual, trustworthy and professional with over 20 years experience as a CNA/Medication with a broad spectrum and knowledge of Hospice, ALS, Dementia, Strokes and Alzheimers. I am also certified in CPR, Fire Safety, HIPPA, Inspection Control, HIV/AIDS, Bloodborne, Pathogens, Prevention, Domestic Violence, Medial Error, Prevention and Safety.

I'm always going above and beyond to help out an anyway that I can I'm a great listener I take my jobs very serious making sure the clients is well taking care of

What makes me a good caregiver is my patience and attention to detail. When I work with a patient, I like to develop a routine where the client feels comfortable, involved, and is enjoying the process of care. What I like about being a caregiver is seeing an improvement in my patients. Whether it's helping a patient during rehab or, with morning errands I like to make sure the client is involved in the process. The achievement I'm most proud of would be receiving Caregiver of the year when I was working for an agency.

I have taken care of many family members, as well as many different clients. I feel like every person is as individual as a fingerprint, as well as their needs! And each need should be treated as such!

Possessing a nurturing nature, caregiving comes naturally to me. I have worked in different personal care capacities for more than 7 years. I am a compassionate individual who enjoys providing exceptional care to people of different ages. It gives me great satisfaction to help someone and the job actually enables me to bring a positive change in the lives of my clients.I am a sociable person with a natural capability of providing continuous care. Empathy is embedded in my personality and I am a good listener. Moreover, I have a track record of providing elderly and child care and immensely enjoy each moment of my work.

I been a caregiver for eleven years now . I love being able to help others. Love being in the company of elderly people have learned a lot just by talking to them.knowing that I have a huge impact on others life makes me proud.

I am currently a student looking for a job to help my mom with the bills. And for College I am a great worker always on time I love taking care of people it makes me feel good when I help others. I will love to be apart of your team am willing to learn I also can bring something new to the team.

Well I am a happy optimistic mother of 5. I love laughing, singing, reading, and watching movies. I have always loved taking care of others, as my mom did when I was a child. I even had to help take care of my mom as she was a stage 4 breast cancer patient until she passed in 1986. The love of making those smile and laugh when life hasn't given them much to smile and laugh about soothes my soul. I have seen many people in nursing homes not being given the care that they properly need and I want to help those that are still in their homes get all that they need and deserve. I have many personal achievements that I'm proud of......but the most important to me is knowing that I have made my mom proud in continuing to show love, compassion, and a helping hand to those that need it most.

What are your personality traits or expertise that help you be a great caregiver? I have a great attitude because I love my job, I have always liked helping people with daily activities... What attracted you to being a caregiver? I love making peoples lifes easier, I love organization and the fact I feel good about myself when I go home. And when I wake up in the morning I always look forward to that day at work as well. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? Everything about the job, and I love getting good comments from clients when I suggest we do something an easier way, they say, "wow I never thought of doing it that way" that's a sense of achievement for me. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? The fact I have learned to do just about any job as a caregiver.

I'm a mother of 7. I love helping take care of others and making sure they are taken care of. I'm an all out loving person.

What makes me a great caregiver is I have love and patience with everyone, I love to help people I'm always doing things to help the elderly and disabled , I've been caring for my disabled mother for over 20 yrs and now my blind father because of my experience with them and caring for children I know I have what it takes to get the job done.
