Hello, my name is Shelby. I have been a caregiver for 12 years both in home and in facility settings. I am a motivated worker, detail oriented, and always looking to learn new skills to help improve the way I can help others. I grew up going to work with my mother on the weekends at the care facility she worked at and fell in love with the work. As soon as I was old enough I started in the same field. I have worked with the elderly, also with mentally disabled patients as well. I have experience with Alzheimers, dementia, bi-polar, schizophrenia and many other conditions. I found my love for the this work at a young age it has always been my passion to help others, I enjoy seeing the smiles I am able to create even by helping with the smallest tasks.

I am a 45 yr old mother of 3. I have been in the medical field for over 25 yrs. I have worked in doctors offices, from pediatrics, internal medicine, to obgyn. I have also worked in the ER, both regular ER and Pediatric ER. I have worked in ICU with critical patients, and hospice patients. I have done some home care with an ALS patient and a patient with Dementia. I am a very caring and compassionate person. My main goal when I am working is the comfort of my patients. I am flexible when it comes to the type of patient or the age of the patient that I am caring for. I am very good at multitasking and prioritizing.

I am an STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) and also CPR , First Aid, and AED certified. I have been working in the health field for almost 8 years. In June of 2010, I graduated from Ross Medical education in medical assisting. December 2010 is when I began working in health care. I have experience in home health care, private care, in a facility, hospital setting, independently through Medicaid, with Dementia/Alzheimer's and worked as an activities assistant. My experiences have been with individuals, couples and groups of residents. Working with rehab, long term care and dementia, I have gained an abundance of knowledge and experience. My job is to be here for your loved one/self. I am here to make sure ADL's are addressed and companionship is shared. Medication reminders, housekeeping, cooking, bathing, errands and anything else required or needed is what I am here for. I truly love what I do and hope to share that with you and your loved one.

I've been a CNA for almost two years, I love helping other's when they can no longer help themselves. I love to see other people smile which makes me feel like I have did something right for them.I love working people in general it makes my day.The biggest achievement I have made is going back to school to become a Medical Assistant.

What I think makes me a good caregiver is that I have a passion to take care of people. I enjoy just keeping people company and talking with them and making sure they're okay. And then there is making sure they have their everyday house hold chores and things done around the house. Which I don't mind doing at all. And what makes my day is to put a smile on there face. Just knowing they're enjoying my company makes me feel good about what I do.

I am a nurse aide with 7+ years of experience. I am from the Muskegon area, but work in Grand Haven where I have been an aide for 5 years. I am a mother of five. I am married. I absolutely love my job as a nurse aide because I feel it is my calling to give care to others.

I treat people as I would my own family and not just a number. It gives me satisfaction knowing that at the end of the day I have actually accomplished something good that will help someone in need.

I'm 38 yr old mother of four moved to Clearwater from New York for my husband job. My eldest join the military so we are a military family I started love taking care of the elderly when I was 17 to care of my grandmother who had dementia got certified at 18 and went into nursing homes I have a huge heart I love helping others I love taking care of people I'm truly a very compassionate person love what I do

I started care-giving in 2002. I took care of my great grandmother at home until she passed. She had Alzheimer's disease. I then got my CNA certification and started working for nursing homes and home care companies. I worked in management at one home care place. Once my certification expired I started going to college for my Associates degree. I also began caring for my husband's grandfather who had Parkinson's disease. Over the years I have cared for hundreds of people with all sorts of different ailments. I really enjoy giving our elders and disabled peers a friend/companion. I enjoy helping them out and making their days better.

I have a passion for helping people and making them feel loved no matter what. I grew up with a sister who needed 24/hr care and through that I developed a very big heart for caregiving. I enjoy knowing that the people I am caring for are getting the correct care that they deserve. As long as they are in my hands they are well taken care of.
