I have worked in the healthcare field the past 4 years; I absolutely love it. I have worked in a group home, ISL(individual supported living), nursing homes and psychiatric hospital, ages ranging from 3-100. I worked as a CNA at the nursing home, helping with bathing, grooming, transfers, toileting, changing and person hygiene. In the ISL, I worked with disabled clients, helping with their everyday need. I would provide transportation, assist with house cleaning, administrating meds, personal hygiene and community skills. I Thoroughly enjoy working in the healthcare field and plan to attend college to get my RN degree. After graduation I would like to become a behavioral health nurse. I love being able to help people with things that they are no longer able to do.

I was actually recruited out of a gas station by the director of nursing for National Healthcare, located in Saint Charles ,Mo. She was a daily customer. One day, she let everyone go ahead of her in line. She then, complimented me on my people skills and asked if I had ever considered nursing.I wasn't sure I would be an appropriate candidate. I'm new to carelinx, I'm in the process of the background check. I have three kids one in the army, one going to UCCS, and the youngest is still in high school. I'm a person with great values for life and the echoes that we send out. I love helping people in with anything that I can. I was first drawn to caregiving when my grandma went through 7 caregivers and ended up in the hospital. I was currently going through college and dropped everything to become my grandma's caregiver. She was suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's and had fallen and hurt herself a couple times within the 7 caregivers that she went through. In the four years that I was her caregiver it was amazing and a great experience. I was able to spend valuable time with my loved one and be a benefit to her conditions. After she passed I continue caregiving and aiding for clients.

I was a big part in taking care of my grandmother before she passed, I've also been helping and lived with my grandmother in law for several months taking care of her before and after surgery and a fall. She is now living with someone who can take care of her full time. I'm preparing to go into the medical field as an EMT and soon a nurse this is something that I feel pulled to in my heart

I became a caregiver much longer before I was 19 and it was considered"my job". Ive always loved taking care of people and making sure they were happy, content, and comfortable. I can be very social at times, which helps out weigh my shy and timid side. I treat my clients as if they were my own family, meaning they are treated with the best type of care, attitude, and respect just like id expect my family to be treated with in a similar situation. I always place myself in their shoes during certain situations to understand more on their level: like their mood swings, attitude changes, pain level, etc.

I became a CNA so my mother would be able to spend her last days at home. When i first started that was my only goal. I never imagined i would fall in love with the job. It has been an enriching & fulfilling experience everyday since. What started out as a favor to my mom has turned into so much more & i thank her everyday.

Hello, My name is Natalie Wallace, I am 18 years old. I am currently in Nursing school and will be an LPN in under a year! I am currently a Certified Nursing Assistant at a long term care facility. I am CPR certified and learning to administer medications. I am available at different times each day but can plan accordingly and be at your desired home for 4+ hours on weekdays, and all day on weekends.

I dropped out of school because I like injecting drugs but it was cool while it lasted, not my money at least.
