I'm a caring and loving person

I genuinely care for people. My mother had MS and when I was 5 she couldn't 5 and sometimes couldn't see or speak. I had to do everything for her wash cook clean feed her and my younger sister as well. When I was 14 liberty home health taught me how to take care of my mom and started paying me to take care of her. Seeing what my mom went thru is what attracts me to care giving we all are going to need somebody one day and I just pray that when I do I get the same great treatment that I give to those who need it. I enjoy getting to know my clients and doing anything they need me to do as long as my client is great I'm great! I'm proud of not giving up! So many times I couldn't given up or went dow min the wrong path but I didn't go that route! Growing up with a sicken bed ridden parent is hard because you have so much room to really mess up but I choose to do good stay in school and to the right thing. And I finished raising my sister!

I see myself with an up beat personality. I like to encourage one to smile and feel a more positive outlook on daily basis even when times seem difficult. I'm caring, passionate trustworthy!! I love helping people. I want that person to feel self worth, respect, dignity and safe. I've seen how the elder can be mistreated and talked too !! It hurts my heart to know what this can do to there mental and physical wellbeing. I take pride in Being a Caregiver whom enjoys working with disabled/ elderly.

Hi Everyone ! Let me start by saying why I became a caregiver. I chose to become a caregiver back in high school when I realized being a nurse is what I want to become. I have seen many patients either not receiving the correct care or being mistreated , I said to myself one person can't do it all but I can change someone's care they are receiving. Plus many others I will encounter in the future. I think what makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I treat the person as if they were my parents or family members. I take my time with understanding their needs. I treat my patients with respect & love. I enjoy working with the many different types of patients & their needs. I love getting to know them as well as letting them know I am there to take care of them. I enjoy working with my patients & giving them the care they need. I have left my job or clinicals many days pleased knowing I done my job the way it was supposed to be done & my patients were taken care of.

Dependable, loving, reliable, humble, helpful, persistent, optimistic, trusting, fair, encouraging. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my great-grandmother. She became ill and could not move as she was used to. I begin helping her with her daily ADLs, feeding her, and taking her to Dr. appointments. It encouraged me to do the same for others like her that cold not help themselves. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping other that cannot help themselves. I enjoy seeing the smiles of the elderly that feels if no one cares and has forgotten about them. A personal achievement that I am proud is furthering my education in the field of work that I love to do.

I was certified as a CNA in 1990 and started working as a caregiver for 8 years before entering into the office to help with staffing. When I was out in the field I did as I should to make sure I did my job as a caregiver successfully. I love making sure my clients are clean, safe and not hungry. I couldn't serve all of them so I entered into the office to make sure I found people that would have the same standards as myself.

Well, I got involved in this profession after my mom died. I enjoy working with the elderly, it makes me feel good knowing they are able to enjoy being at their home and being cared for. My son is grown and I live at home alone so being with my clients keeps me occupied busy. I'm very patient and a hard worker, and I have 10 years experienced and had only two clients one I stayed and cared for 4 years until she passed and my current client I'm still with this will be my 6th year with her. After being with a client for so.long it's feels like we're family. I treat her as if she was my mamma.

I have been a caregiver for 11yrs now. I love helping people the reason. why i became a caregiver. My father got terribly sick and then later on past away. I wasn't there when he left this world and,that really bother me. Now that i have been a caregiver i have learned patients. I have grown as a person by being a caregiver. I'm a people person i love to meet new people . Plus,i love working out and staying in shape..

I started tasking care of my father fifteen years ago. So I knew I was going to be a caregiver. When I work with my clients they know that I'm going to go above and beyond my call of duty. I'm 30, have a 2 yr old, and I love my job. When I go to work I love knowing that I'm making a difference.

I try to always put my patients needs and wants first, i want to make sure they're being treated in a timely manner and have what they need. I enjoy working with my patients, i love to hear them talk about their past and just being in their company. Being somebody that they can count on. I've always wanted to care for people who needed a extra hand or couldn't do it themselves. I enjoy the fact that i can reassure somebody by taking care of them and getting them the things they need or do what needs to be done. My grandma is 89 and i love taking care of her, even before i was a certified nursing assistant. I just enjoy helping somebody in need.
