I am a very transparent, caring, God fearing, and compassionate individual, especially with the elderly. I previously worked as a caregiver for many years with an Agency in New Jersey before relocating to Texas. Being widowed at a very young age, and having raised 4 successful children, I have applied this success and warmth I used, to everyone and everything I face in life especially with the elderly who is as fragile as children. I like to give in my best in whatever I do, and very confident that you will enjoy having me as a member of your team.

I'm a veteran , mom and sister. My dad passed away last year from esophageal cancer. I've cared for him in various capacities since 2016. Specifically medication management, personal hygiene, transportation to docs, cleaning up for him, light house keeping, and I've been trained in hospice care and first aid. I came from the corporate world which isn't where I am most fulfilled.

Providing my clients with exceptional care is something I take pride in. Making every effort to offer the individualized attention each client need is essential no matter what field of work you are in. I am very passionate about ensuring the safety and care of our elderly community with that said I find that I am very attentive to their needs. Hello, my name is Ardena and I have been a HCA for over 4 years. Currently, I am employed with DSHS so I do have a current background check. I am currently training to be a NAC, that will be complete by the end of April 2017. I have primarily worked with children and teens on the Autism spectrum as well as done hospice care. Hello, I have been a caregiver and also worked in skilled nursing facilities for several years. But my biggest accomplishment and something that makes me stand out is that I am the sole caretaker of my 88 year old parents. As you know, getting older is a challenge for people and they need to be treated with dignity and a lot of respect. I have always loved elderly people while working in my career. I have empathy, compassion and patience. I have been doing home care for years and am a people person, who enjoys what I do. What attracted me is that I love to help people and care for others and am very compassionate. I enjoy helping others and making people smile even though they are disabled or feel helpless. Every since I can remember as a small child I always wanted to help people. My original goal was to go into nursing but I was led into another direction. I was led into the field of activity directing specializing in the Alz/dementia population. Again I have over 20 years experience in all the aspects of activity directing and caring for elderly clients. I also work with special needs adults. I love taking care of people, see there smiling faces and giving them something fullfilling znd meaningful to look forward to. They have a voice and they deserve their dignity and respect.

I grew up in a Christian family as a missionary kid and have been involved in my parents ministry of sharing the gospel with children since high school. In between taking classes and helping out my parents with their business I also was a caretaker for some families at our church. I gave them their medication, helped them get dressed, made their meals, kept things tidy, and kept them company by talking to or playing games with them. We went on walks and watched jeopardy and such. Currently, my husband and I are expecting our first in March of 2020 and I'm really looking for a position where I can bring my son with me while caring for your loved one.
