Hello, My name is Kim Morris My first position as a caregiver was in 2018 when I was looking for a "side gig" and meet a wonderful lady at my gym that happened to work for a companion care agency that was hiring. I was immediately hired. At the time I had no idea that I would fall in love with being a companion care professional. I personally love the fact that we get to meet and spend time with some really special people that otherwise in many cases we wouldn't have ever had the opportunity to even meet. I feel a sense of joy and gratitude for being able to give back through the work of companionship. Being able to support someone that may be experiencing great difficulty or just in need of a friend, due to aging which is something I believe we all hope to do one day, really puts things into perspective. When I am not spending time with my extended family (my elder clients/ companion care clients) I am working my own business Yoniversity Online Training Academy. Where I train wellness professionals, doulas, and women interested in living a holistic lifestyle alternative methods to care for their reproductive health + how to become profitable in the womb wellness industry by creating multiple revenue streams. I've spent the last seven years guiding young women along their own womb wellness journey, and helping them start successful wellness businesses of their own.

I love the elderly; I have been working with the elderly for over twenty years. At present, I took care of my elderly friend who has problem with mobility, helping her to shop, taking her to place etc. I took a Thai massage course; I give my elderly friend massage on a regular basis. I cook for my elderly husband and help with his hygiene. I used to work with PCA, serving the elderly and their families. I enjoy serving the elderly because they deserve a good life and happiness and their family need to enjoy life also. I receive joy and fulfillment by serving others.

As a kid I've always wanted to be a doctor. Still have a while to go but elder care is a great start for me. In high school I[?] decided to be a part of the Health Careers academy and join the CNA program which I[?] started my sophomore year and just weeks before my high school graduation I[?] passed the state exam and became a certified nurses assistant. I believe that I have the right type of a personality to be a care giver. I am happy, energetic, compassionate, caring, and outgoing. I like to help people, especially children and the elderly. I enjoy talking with people, helping them with things they can't do for themselves. One personal achievement that I am proud about is that families of my clients like me, and they would like to keep me for themselves to stay with them.

Hi! My name is Zoe and I am known for my upbeat personality, patience, and listening skills when dealing with elderly citizens. I lived with my Mom in an active senior community and was her total caregiver during the last eighteen months of her life following her stage 4 stomach cancer diagnosis. Since her death in 2014, I found a new career field and began my services as a caregiver to MHMR women newly released from prison, a senior veteran diagnosed with Alzheimer's, a 91 year old female with moderate to severe dementia and a 92 year old female with severe dementia whom I am currently working with. As a former teacher and High School Administrator my patience level is very high and I enjoy the company, wisdom and shear joy of working with Senior citizens. Since I have no family here in Texas, it gives me much pleasure to care for a Senior Citizen who is used to company and friends and can now utilize a person in their life who is devoted to their needs. I take people very seriously. I'm patient, caring, have a natural nurturing spirit. I currently work in a hospital as a Personal care associate and all my patients ask if I work privately. I don't rush the care of my patients, I'm good at assessing needs before they become one. I cook and clean. I don't degrade or belittle the people I'm caring for. At some point we all need help, when may vary from person to person, but I treat people how I would want my family members to be cared for and how I hope to be treated should the time come for myself.

Hello, Im a Senior in College studying Education & Social work. Im from New York & just moved here to San Antonio a week ago. Im looking for a second job, roughly after 2pm any day of the week. Im a very hard worker but actions speak louder than words.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy working with people. I treat the whole family. It is important to understand the history of the family in treating the client. I have a lot to offer in the services I provide. I provide exceptional, caring and compassionate love in treating my clients as I would like someone to treat my mom or dad. My personal achievement with clients, is allowing clients to continue with their normal activities such as going to church, movies, dinner and theater. I sometimes take clients out for a drive, showing them the changes in areas where they grew up. I enjoy talking to them and letting them feel that they matter. I've been in the business for so long because back home in Jamaica, I used to take care of my 85-year-old cousin that got a sickness. For 2 years straight I took care of her and sadly she died in my arms, from that day it hurt me to the point where it was my passion to take care of the elderly. I love doing what I do, it brings joy to my heart from seeing them smile and giving the love they deserve.
