Seniors has a unique way of looking at the life and I have grown to love and very excited and passionate about my job. I was able to be around my grand parents and take care of them and now I believe that doing this is my passion and I know that my grandparents was happy I was willing to take care of them we all brought something new to each others daily life. Hello , I am a retired social worker with over 2 decades of experience working with children and families. Since my retirement I've worked several jobs as a companion/ caregiver for seniors. I am an empath and a caregiver by nature. I enjoy listening to stories, preparing meals, don't mind light housekeeping and I have a clean Fl drivers license so that I can run errands or just go out for a nice lunch together with my client. I became a care giver several years ago because I was inspired by my mother to do something for someone else that it was not possible for them to do for themselves. I saw how she cared for people as a nursing assistant for many years and that has motivated me to do the same.

I enjoy helping people and making them feel comfortable in their dwellings. It all started with my late grandmother and extended over to people with mental health needs. I am proud of my ability to identify with the people that I take look after by applying my gratitude. I love the flexibility of the job and being able to work freely among my other interests such as cooking and writing.

I'm capable of approaching any situation with patience and great care. My academic and professional experiences have provided me with excellent observational skills, assessment skills, and therapeutic communication. I became a caregiver because I truly enjoy helping others. Knowing that I can help people by doing little everyday things for them, brings me joy.

After spending time with my 94 year old dad, my grandmother, great aunts and even older friends, I realized that this is something that I would enjoy doing. So I registered with CA as an HCA, I passed their live scan background check and have a current TB test. I have a comfortable 2016 Hyundai Sonata, in good running condition and fully insured. I have had a few clients with a few local agencies, and have found what I like doing best is helping those who just need a little help or companionship. I can help you, or your mom or dad as needed, depending on their wants & needs. I specialize in transportation to and from errands & appointments, shopping, banking, light housekeeping, or just conversation, and/or games or even adult coloring! I am positive, upbeat and friendly! If you do not like me, you do not have to hire me. I am available part time only, 2 hour minimum weekdays only.
