I was raised in a family with younger siblings and started caring for others as a young child. Babysitting was my first and favorite job but as I got older, I knew more people personally that needed help as they were aging and less mobile than they were used to being. I love being able to do things around the house for them, make them meals, help them get around and just listen to their stories. By nature I am very interested in other people and their needs and it brings me so much joy to be able to help out.

I believe that the best trait in me is determination. I like to encourage my patients to do as much as they can on their own with me their so that they do not lose their independance. My passion in the healthcare setting is unlimited and I have had the availability to attain employment in almost every role from PCA to NA. I love to put a smile on someones face especially when they have had a rough day or appointment. A personal achievement would be working full time and in nursing school as well as working on the RN-BSN while raising a child on my own.

I am an honest and genuinely caring person who prior to working in the child welfare system worked as a licensed physical therapist assistant mainly with the geriatric patients in nursing home settings. I was raised in a family of caregivers and it just came naturally to follow this path based on the values that were instilled in me growing up.
