I believe a combination of my 18 years as a caregiver and compassion working with the growing elderly population makes me stand out amongst all the others. My experience growing up on a farm taught me work ethics, customer service, humbleness, and a love for being around and helping people. I fell in love with healthcare and and music, gaining a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy. My work from there was a mixture of using music as a tool to help others and caregiving as a certified nursing assistant. I am currently certified as a cna and have my cpr certification.

I am an outgoing very hard working college student! I have experience as a caregiver, for 7 months I have been working for a private family part time. I am compassionate and honest and would be the perfect hire! I love being able to help others and spend time with new people!

What attracted me to wanting to become a caregiver was how I took care of my nephew who is severely speech delayed he taught me how to love differently and gain patience. Caring for another individual is something I always had a passionate with I love caring for others, I have a kind heart. I started being an caregiver once my grandma became sick in 2012 and she couldn't do what she was able to before she got sicker and I loved going over there just so I was able to help her and encouraged her into doing things. I have one year of college completed, working towards the nursing program. I have three years experience as an aid. I currently nanny and work a few hours a week in the activities department at newfane rehab. After being an aid for a few years I wanted to switch it up so I applied for that and have been doing that the past four months, along with nannying this past year and still into this year. I plan on continuing my two jobs, between the both it's about 40 hrs, but since I am not in school I'm looking into a third job for evenings and or nights! I am a mother of a beautiful three year old that I have had the blessing of learning patience and she has shown me love what love really is. She has made me look at the world so much differently, and I want to do something more with the skills I was blessed with, sharing and helping others. I had the pleasure of having my great grandmother (age 93-99) living with me and my family in my late teens, I was her caregiver, I provided her meals, cleaned her room and her private bathroom, I would bath her and take her to appointments. Of course it was a great feeling to be helping another but the joy in my heart knowing she was happy having someone there to help, play card games, share stories and teach me New things I knew was I doing some of life's most important work, and giving her the highest quality of life in her last years. I am looking forward to learning more and using the skills I have and love I have for another. I have skills in banking so I could help with balancing check books and savings. I have experience in customer service so I work well with others! I am very family oriented so I would love to work with families or individuals!

When I worked for Family Care Services of Western New York as a PCA then LPN for a few years I quickly realized that one on one care is when I can truly feel proud and grateful to be a caregiver. I was so excited to keep getting positive feedback from families, loved ones, and my supervisor which in turn helped me understand that alongside providing any physical care that may be needed in home care I can proudly say I have a strong capability to get people to be comfortable around me and enjoy nursing most when I get to know, and have time to help each client.
