Hi! I'm Dawn I have 30 years experience in healthcare, over 17 years direct patient care. My experience has been in Long Term care settings as well as private home care. I have worked with individuals with mental/behavioral health challenges, intellectual disabilities, and elders with dementia. As someone who has a loved one with special needs in their life, I feel my personal experience has added to my work experience, being more understanding and patient to one's needs. I am a very compassionate, nurturing and attentive person by nature but I also encourage responsibilities and help to foster independence of those individuals I support. My current position has me working from home, on an executive level, and I miss personal interaction, providing a hands on level of care. As to why I'm a great caregiver...I've been one since the age of 12. Caring for two younger brothers and one sister while both parents worked nights in the Restaurant business. My most recent job before I semi re-tired, was as a Florida State Licensed Massage Therapist working in a Medical center treating car accident victims. Im a massage therapist and acupuncture student who have had the fortune to take care of multiple amazing people throughout my life.
