I enjoy taking care of sick people and the ones who can't help themselves. Helping them to do what they can't manage to do anymore. I am a reliable caring and a very hard worker. I go above and beyond for my residents to make sure they are safe and comfortable at all times.

Actually, I am a Registered Nurse. Characteristics: dependable, honest, independent, optimistic, hard-working, encouraging, a problem solver, a good listener and communicator. I became interested in health care when I was 10 years old and in the hospital over Christmas having had an emergency appendectomy. My mom worked for a doctor (earning $1 an hour) and was always telling us about interesting cases and teaching us strange sounding medical terminology. Most of my nursing career was in a Medical Intensive Care Unit at Ohio State University Medical Center. After that exciting career, I started working in Home Health in 2008. I enjoy working 1 on 1 with my clients, offering encouragement, seeing that they are receiving proper care, and hearing their life stories.

I am a recent college graduate who will be returning to school in the fall to study Nursing. I just recently moved to the Dover area and I am absolutely in love with the community. I currently work as a licensed STNA where I have the privilege of working with residents of the geriatric community and help those with late-stage dementia as well as those in our rehab unit perform ADLs and daily care. When I'm not at work, I love to travel, I love to write music, and I love to exercise. Anything to get me out of the house to do something productive! My long term career goals include becoming an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. I have been caring for seniors for the past 7 years. I have a bachelor's degree from Ohio University with a certificate in gerontology. From being a care aide to an activity director, I have a great passion for helping older adults in any way I can and building relationships with them. I am due to have my first baby in September, and am looking to care for someone in their home starting in the winter (December or January) between 20-30 hours a week. Throughout my working life, I have worked a variety of jobs which has exposed me to many different walks of life. For over 20 years I worked in one industry: parking, either in parking enforcement or customer service. When I leave my current position as a PCA, I will seek a similar live-in position as a PCA in my home state of Arizona.
