I'm 32 years In 2009 I started off as an CNA and went back to school to become a Phlebotmist and went back again to become a Surgical Tech .I'm full of life in fun I'm ready to put smiles on your loved ones face

I would be a great caregiver because I am always smiling and very kind to others. I have an outgoing personality who loves to help others. The idea of someone being able to stay home in the comfort of their own home is important I'll be there to help you as much as you need me too! What attracted me to be a caregiver personally I was very close to my grandmother who has caregivers help her in her own home alot. The people the company would send were really important and the nice ones really helped her and made me interested in helping others! As a caregiver I mostly enjoy the relationships I build with the people I am helping. Growing older can be hard but also beautiful you may need a little help with things such as bathing or cleaning up but the stories I have heard since becoming a caregiver are absolutely amazing A personal achievement as a caregiver us becoming a CNA after taking the class. A personal achievement in my own personal life to me is I have two very smart sons!

In 2007, I decided to get my nursing degree. Upon graduation my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. My father then passed away suddenly in the job site of a heart attack. My name is Misty and I am currently a caregiver at an Assisted Living facility in Troy and love my job. I take the best possible care of all my residents and I take care of all of their personal hygiene needs, bathing, change of clothes ,bed side commode or bathroom,whichever is best for my client. I can change depends on bed if needed as well. I change the clients position in bed every 2 hours or as needed and am able to do all housekeeping including laundry and cooking as well as shopping. I pay attention to all details of care no matter how minute it may seem. I do this job because I love it and it's my passion,not because it's a paycheck.

I am very Passionate caring person, ever since I was little girl. Instead of playing with neighborhood kids I would help my elderly neighbors. I loved sitting on their porch just talking for hours. They use to tell me & my mom that I had an old soul. My mom also was a caregiver then she got degrees in other medical fields, you could say I got and learned from her. I first got into home health care because of My father in law. I was 21 years old. He had MS, & his family denied caring for him. I noticed how bad he was getting so I started caring for him immediately. The care he needed acquired more time so me and my 3 babies (at the time) moved in and I cared for him around the clock. He had some pretty bad wounds that tunneled down to the bone on multiple parts of his body. Which is why I got certified at the osu wound clinic. Everyone around me and even the nurses that came over told me i had a special calling for this job. It was what I was meant to do! It takes a special person to really love & care for others. There are so many reasons why I love being a caregiver. It's more than the satisfaction that I am helping others. It's that they also teach me about life and what we take for granted. Without them saying a word. I feel so refreshed after a shift it doesn't feel like "just a job" to me. With Each & every client I get it seems like there is a story and I feel like I am apart of their story by getting to help them. I truly love what I do!
