I am a 22 year old college graduate with a bachelors degree in health service administration. I consider myself to be very loving and patient! I have about 4 years experience in home health aide. It's something I take pride in. I enjoy helping others !

I pride myself on having compassion for all individuals and especially the elderly community. I believe in caring for individuals as if they were my loved one, or how I would want to be cared for later in life. I have worked in the healthcare field for over 10 years in various settings. I was attracted to healthcare early in life because I come from a background of nurses. I always enjoyed putting a smile on someone's face and contributing to their quality of life any way I could. As people age they sometimes lose family and friends and their sense of independence. I want to bring them happiness and encouragement while ensuring precise care when working with them. The best thing about being a caregiver is meeting new people and allowing them to feel safe. I enjoy hearing stories about their lives and taking in their wisdom. I feel that my experience over the years as a caregiver has humbled me and made a more well rounded individual. A personal achievement that I'm proud of would be the ability to adapt to a new position and be recognized for my outstanding customer service and work ethic at my current place of employment.

Enjoyed helping the people in the home environment by: • Providing house management for mentally challenged & wheel chair bound residents. • Planned activities, arranged transportation, used bed-lifts for wheel chair bound patients. • Dispensed medication & logged dispensed meds daily conducted fire drills, prepared morning meals and sack lunches. • Signed for medications that came on the graveyard shift, on call for bed ridden patients in light of an emergency. • Helped wheel chair bound patients dress and do personal hygiene in the mornings • Interacted with the public, problem solver and planner Liked the hours...graveyard shift, got along well with the clients and their families. **MRDD Certifications Ohio Medications & Health related activities

Hi my name is Sharlene. I am the Oldest Daughter to a mom whom had 3 Brain surgeries, 2 strokes, triple bypass surgery, and was diagnosed with Cancer and had to have a Breast removed. I am still her caretaker today in which she is almost 100% back to normal with the exception of minor memory loss or repeating sentences. She is my life and over the years and working in the field previously, I've developed a soft spot for assisting those who may be at a disadvantage. I love helping people and caring for them. A great caretaker is a nurturer. One who cares and treats others as they would want to be treated. I'm most proud of saving my mother's life. It's a long story, would love to share one day.
