I work out and lift weights. Walking, running, stretching and home workouts as well. I am my families chef. I meal plan for myself and family members. Learned down south cooking from my grandmother and can make peach cobbler and sweet potato pie plus more. I love conversation and hearing about people's life stories. Hello, My name is Chrisona Hughes. I am a 22 year old college student.I am originally from Chicago Illinois but I relocated when I started college here in Oklahoma. I attend Langston University and major in psychology. I believe I am a great caregiver solely because I truly care for others. One thing that attracted me to being a caregiver is when I lost my grandmother. I took care of her everyday needs and enjoyed every moment of it. Losing her at such a young age left a whole in my heart and caring for others leaves me with joy. The best part about being a caregiver is meeting new families! I get to adapt to new people and treat them like their my family. I move with love and caring for others is my main purpose.

I enjoy having a positive effect on others by and through assiting individuals who have a need. I enjoy giving back, by assisting others, as well as helping them stay as independent as they can. I assist on task that may be difficult. I also understand that being patient is a must in the caring for others as well as giving individuals, that have a need for assistance, right of choice, as out line in their service plan. I have been a caregiver for 1 1/2 years. Before I worked as a Custom Protection Officer for 8 years, prior to my mom having a stroke. Moved back to my hometown to care for my mother. Now, that my mom has recovered I am able to care for others. I love caring for others.

I became a caregiver to take of my grandfather that was terminally ill. After he passed away in 2008 I continued giving quality patient care. I feel rewarded when my patients give a heartfelt thank you. My personal achievement is that I graduated from college and have my degree. I am CPR certified and have over 7yrs experience LTC, private pay, and home health.

I love taking care of ones that are in need of care. I also love to cook for the past 7 years at a residential care home and for my family. What I like about being a caregiver is that when I help others that really need it and cook for them it makes my heart complete mainly when it puts a smile on their faces. A personal achievement I've accomplished in my life is being at an elderly woman's house while cooking for her and her house catches on fire being of and electric heater being left on by Phylis/nurse and I was able to help the woman get out of her house before she burned along with it. I thank God every time I think about it. If it weren't for me being there that morning, cooking her breakfast she would've past away a week after her husband past. I've cooked and cleaned along with laundry at a boarding home in Boley for 7 years. I've worked in a Nursing Home as a CNA in Okemah for 8 months. My grandma past at that nursing home and I no longer fealt comfortable so I moved on to another boarding home in Prague as a cook for 80 people for 4 months. The heat in the kitchen I couldn't stand so I had to get out of it. I've braided hair for the last 11years and I love helping others that are in need of help and making there days a moment they'll always remember when it comes to me. A profit once told me after he shook my hand that he see me helping a lot of people and God has Blessed me to do just that and more. I love to work, clean, cook, draw, design, sing, care for others,
