As a caregiver, I've always had a heart of service. I had received an Excellence In Action award from Union City Police for preforming CPR & First-Aid on a kid that had a pre-existing heart condition. I was taught CPR in a class that was mandatory for my job teaching Pre-K not knowing how soon I would have to use this new skill. But after that day, I realized how important it was to step up to the plate and be the one to take action. It has to be one of my most proud moments.

I would bring that sincere trustworthy down home Oklahoma spirit and caring work ethic. Along with my southern cooking my professional training in sanitizing sterilization I learned from my medical profession. I also am a great listener and love playing puzzles and great with recreational arts and craft. Being that I love to be organized and wouldn't have it any other way. Hello my name is Miranda , I've been doing my wonderful job for almost 8 yrs now. I've met some amazing people over the yrs. Dementia and Alzheimer's and Parkinson's are just a few of the conditions I've worked with , I've done live ins , doctors appointments, companionship, cleaning , cooking , bathing , med reminders. Some of the things about me is I put my whole self in what I do , I truly believe I was put on this earth to help . I have two dogs and a 14 yr old daughter , love to read and cook. I volunteer some of my time at a rescue in Blanchard when we have free time. One of the fun things that I think is quite fun is punting or , playing cards or just siting in the backyard talking. Or just sitting and watching tv. Anything to help , I've found just sitting and listening to the lives are the most personal. I love my job and all it entails.

I have an outgoing upbeat personality, always looking for the good in people. I'm a caring person and I enjoy being around people and helping in anyway I can. The most I enjoy about being a caregiver is the peace it brings to their life knowing they're going to be taken care of and heard. My biggest accomplishment is working with the elderly for 15 years and hearing their stories of gratitude I brought into their life.

I've been a caregiver for 5 years. I worked at a home for the mentally challenged when I first received my license. I have now worked in hospitals, facilities, homes. I am a Christian and a caregiver. I have not worked professionally, but took care of my mother for 4 years before she passed away. I am very reliable and love people. I am 70 years young and can understand some of the health issues older people have to deal with. I would like to be of assistance to an elderly couple or lady. I worked in a nursing home for 5 months, but I didn't really enjoy it because I didn't have time to actually get to know the residents. 1. I was 18 when I started and knew the training was minimal and the most important part of the job was being a naturally caring person. I knew I would take to it from all the years I spent helping take care of my Nana. 2. Job satisfaction, flexible schedule, and I really enjoy meeting knew people. 3. I met a client and within the first 1/2 hour I could tell she did not want me there. I did my best to make her comfortable and meet her needs while at the same time trying to figure out the problem. I am a Christian who loves people and will treat your loved one with dignity and respect. My main expertise is with diabetics and the complications of the disease. I am a breast cancer survivor, and have been cancer free for 8 years now. I have done extensive study and helped with dietary needs as i have had gastric bypass myself and have worked with my husband. He was able to loose 40 lbs before he died. I do have night blindness and cannot drive after dark. I am highly allergic to cat dander and cannot stay in a room where there is a cat more than about a hour. Dogs are ok. I am highly allergic to cigarette smoke.

I am a CNA and CHHA with 18 years experience. I became a health care aide because I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I started off as a CNA only but I wanted to do something that was more personable to an individual so I acquired my CHHA. And in doing so I was able to start my career off working for a hospice. By my starting that way, it gave me compassion on a whole different level. I worked as a shower aide for home health as well as hospice,going out to individuals homes for about 12 years. I later decided to experience different things, giving me a much more vast range of experience. I have work in Long-Term Care, skilled unit, Home health, hospice, rehabilitation, respite care, comfort Care, private duty, memory Care, elderly group home, and companion care. I have enjoyed every range of care that I have experienced being a part of. I enjoy helping others and just being able to give my client something to look forward to.
