My name is Julisa Mitchell I am a very outgoing individual, I love life and the people in It. I have been a caregiver for 10 years now I recently completed my NATCEP course and plan on becoming a registered nurse in the near future. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love helping people, I love coming to work and seeing them light up with joy. Listening to the stories they have to tell is very rewarding, you learn a lot of new and interesting things. Being a caregiver is so much more than a job it is truly a passion I have.

I became a caregiver once my grandfather got sick with cancer. I was 14 at the time and I really enjoyed helping him eat,get dressed,and take baths once to got where he could not do it himself. I like being a caregiver because I have always loved helping and motivating people who need it. It is a good feeling when you can work with a person and try your best to encourage them to keep on living and do things while they can. I have always enjoyed working with the elderly. Being able to help them achieve their daily basic needs is one of the best feelings in the world. I am a single mother of a 14 year old son. He motivates me to be the best parent that I can be. Working hard and continuing my education is the best way to do this. I'm currently in school online working on my Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Ethics. I am attending Mid American Christian University. One of my personal achievements was obtaining my Certificate in Nursing and of course being a mother to my son. I am looking for a job where I can use all of my nursing skills that I have obtained throughout the course of these years.

I am a compassionate individual, who takes the term, "human services" to heart. My experience consist of volunteer work at two homeless shelters; as a House Manager, three years experience as a caregiver (working with my elderly neighbor), and in home care services as a DSP (direct Support professional/Care professional). In addition, I have three certified nursing certificates for continuos and educational purposes (recently licensed for my third CNA certificate). Moreover, my passion as a care taker, has lead me to obtain an A.S. degree in ethics and a B.S. in psychology (eventually I would like to obtain my Masters in Nursing or Human Services). Overall, being a caregiver brings enjoyment to my life because I love giving back to the community, making a difference in the clients and their families lives, as well as having a purpose and passion for growth.

My heart goes out to the elderly because they need our help more now than ever. I have been working in the healthcare field for some time now and I desire to show the elderly that there is someone willing to love and cares them. I like to show that I care about being a caregiver. I am proud of getting my bachelor degree in Theology at the age of 49. My name is Janies Dunbar and I am 49 years of age. I am a caring and compassionate person that loves all people. I live in League City, TX., and I work in the healthcare field, so I work with all types of people and I love it. It is my heart passion to make a difference in someone elses life and show that I am a genius and trustworthy person.

I am a very caring and compassionate young individual. I love my life and everyone in it. I have 3 beautiful children 1 boy 2 girls whom stay at home with stay-at-home-dad! What pursuaded me to go into this profession is watching my mother work at a nursing facility as I was younger. At first I was scared but then later on I found out they were just as you and I. I would go to the nursing home after school and sit with the little ladies and do their hair. As I got older I knew that this is what I truely wanted to do with my life and that was to give back to the senior community and others who are less physically able to do so by themselves.
