My professional caregiving experience dates back from 2011 after I finished my studies in fundamental of caregiving, dementia, mental health, HIV and Aids, nurse delegation, food handling and medication dispensing amongst other vital provider courses. I started and got my hands on experience working in an adult family home taking care of six live in residents for a year. I provided personal care, companionship, and transportation services. I then moved on to an agency that assigned me two clients whom I took care of until they passed on. I was promoted to the lead caregiver where my duties involved not just taking care of vulnerable adults of all ages, but also training other caregivers and stepping in to take care of transitional clients as we found them stable, long-term care providers. It was a post I loved but had to give it up when I moved. I am well trained and state registered in Washington with an active viewable licence online and currently working on getting certified here as well. I will gladly take care of you or your loved one if given the chance.

My goal is to help others with living independently, maintaining or improving life skills, and assisting caregivers that need respite. All ages of customers. I have taken care of hospice patients and end of life care for family.

Thought that I wanted to retire then realised I missed working, I don't want to stop working. When people who know me find out I want to go back to work they always suggest I go back into caregiving. I like to help people, I see the importance of treating each person who needs assistance in a special way. I treat each client the way I would want someone to treat my parent or family member. I feel that most individuals are not happy about needing help, so you have to make them feel spoiled and appreciated and respected, and keep their information private, that is what I do for a client.

Hi I have been working in healthcare for two years since I graduated high school and began college. I am now a Junior attending Oklahoma State University. I have always known that I wanted to work in health care and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and minoring in Spanish. After I graduate I will be applying for medical school and OU medicine. I really enjoy being able to be a helping hand and helping to improve someone's life.

I am a down to earth person. Good Christian values. I have always been great at keeping in touch and helping my grandparents when needed. I have helped my elderly neighbors many times and with open arms. I love to help and learn from the people i'm helping. I am great at talking as well as listening and can always find a way to get the task at hand completed.

I became a caregiver very early on in life taking care of both my father and grandmother who have since passed on due to Alzheimer's disease. I love caring for other people to bring the best quality of life in whatever their situation or ailment, while maintaining their dignity, encouraging their independence, and affording them as much comfort as possible.

I believe that my best personality traits are kindness and compassion. I have always had a special place in my heart for senior citizens and for those who have developmental challenges. I absolutely love giving companionship to those who might not otherwise have any. I love to see the smile on someones face when you share a special one on one moment with them. That means the world to me! I am personally proud of the fact that I was a stay at home mother and was able to raise two amazing and successful children. Personal achievements do not get any sweeter than that.

I became a caregiver because i truly believe i have a heart to care for people. It warms my heart to know that the people i am caring for appreciate me and know that they are being given the utmost best possible care. I am really excited that I am furthering my education at Oklahoma State University in order to be able to apply to the Nursing Program. I am a very outgoing and upbeat individual. I am always looking for ways to improve and be a helping hand to others! I am a peoples person for sure.. I am my best self when I am surrounded by others. Being able to partake in the internship in high school allowed me to unleash a love for caring for others who have trouble caring for themselves. I enjoy growing a connection with each patient and ensuring they are being put 1st each and every shift I had with them. I noticed that when caring for others, you must treat each patient how you would want to be treated if you were in their shoes. I have heard horror stories of patients being neglected by not being bathed, linen not being changed frequently , etc. That is unacceptable. I pride myself in going above and beyond for my patients as if they are my own child and or family member!
