I have a passion for helping the elderly and ensuring that they are receiving the care that they deserve. As volunteer coordinator for meals on wheels of Southern Lancaster County I was able to volunteer my time to match the volunteers, meal makers and meal delivery personnel with the clients to ensure that meals were delivered on time and within dietary restrictions. I'd like to continue to follow my passion for ensuring elderly care throughout my community by assisting those in need with their daily tasks. Whether food shopping, household chores or doctors appointments.

I have been in the health care field since 2013. When it comes to helping others I have always been passionate about it. I believe helping others can make you better yourself. The things that attract me to being a caregiver are Empathy and compassion. Working with people in a home care setting, it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion caregivers will let the person they are caring for know that they care about the person and want to do what they can to help them. I enjoy being patient Patience. When you work with someone who needs home care it is important that you are patient and understanding.

I think the love i have for people makes me a good caregiver. I became a caregiver when my mother got very sick 3 years ago and kept having strokes. I love being a caregiver because you get to help others when they can't be 100% independent alone but i also love to help them get better and stronger so that they can be independent again. I also have my certification for HHA

Caregiving is more than taking care of someone that can no longer do for themselves , it's building a genuine relationship with the person your caring for. Taking the time to learn them and their dislikes and likes. Making them feel safe and know that they are in good hands. What made me want to become a caregiver was my grandfather, his name was Floyd. Spending his last days with him was remarkable. I loved him so much and wish I was able to care for him before he said his last goodbyes to his grandchildren. I wanted to be able to make someone else grandparents happy and care for them the way his caregiver did for mine.

Hello my is Holly Castaldi. I'm 32 years old. I used to care for my grandma a lot before she died. It was a passion of mine to take care of her. Growing older I still knew this was what I wanted to do. Being a caregiver for my cousin and now in my 2nd year of college for my behavioral health degree. My passion is to help as many as I can in my lifetime! I have been working for an agency for a little while now, but looking for some part time but could potentially take on full time as well!

Personality traits or expertise that help me be a great caregiver is that I'm very nice and understanding and can communicate properly and help anyone in need. What attracted me to being a care giver is helping my grandmother when she had knee surgery and didn't have no one to help her but me I cooked cleans made sure she was taking her medication and make sure she was clean and comfortable. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is having the connection with someone and that trust you build to help someone that feels safe with you and to be able to know you will be taking cared of properly. A personal achievement I'm proud of is at my other job I enjoy making someone happy and being the reason I made someone's day which makes me so happy.

I absolutely care as if the patient was my own family, I put great effort and heart into this job. I like getting to know the patients and their family. I became a caregiver because its a rewarding job leaving someones home knowing i made life easier for someone because they knew their loved one was being cared for with love.
