Hello Carelinx Community! My name is Samantha and I am currently a caregiver. I currently have a full- time job, but do this the side, as my passion is in the medical field. I attended college with a focus in Biology (pre-med) and a minor in Philosophy. I have had a lot of experience including shadowing, internships, a career in a hospital, and now as a caregiver. Some personality traits and/or expertise that help me be a great caregiver is my knowledge of this field, outgoingness, and confidence in my work. I go above and beyond to make each and every patient feel comfortable and important. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my love for this field and everything it has to offer. Everyday is rewarding and I enjoy meeting different types of people and listening to their stories.

I have always loved taking care of people and being a part of a journey towards progress or success of another individual no matter how small these successes may seem. I love taking care of people so much that I decided to pursue a career in nursing. I have a wide range of practice with patients in the hospital and understand the responsibility of many caregiving tasks including dressing, changing, feeding, wound care, toileting, diabetes care, etc. when my grandfather was diagnosed with leukemia, I wanted to make each day try to be the best if could be for him. Providing some sort of comfort or happiness in someone's darkest times brings me joy and I hope you continue to shed that light on other families and their loved ones!
