Hello, my name is Velvet Graham, I am a graduate student pursuing my master's degree in education. I believe that hard work, dedication, and faith, are the three main ingredients to a prosperous future.

What makes me a great care giver is that I put myself in the shoes of whom I help assist and their families. I would want quality care along with someone who has genuine empathy for the situation. I believe I have these qualities I show my clients that how they feel matters to me and they know I give more than 100%. I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping people. I believe this is my calling to provide care for others that are unable to assist themselves. What I like about care giving is that you make a difference in peoples lives by careing for them some are alone and your their only point of human contact. My greatest achievement that I am most proud of is my children and our family unit.

PERSONALITY TRAITS The personality traits and expertise that helps me to be a great caregiver includes my love for God and unconditional love for others. I am innately calm, compassionate, unselfish, honest, cheerful, understanding, kind, respectful, sensitive to the needs of others and have strong interpersonal skills. As a caregiver, I am responsible, a problem-solver, concerned for the care and safety of my patients/clients, reliable, trusting, level headed, mature, caring, patient. ATTRACTION TO BECOME A CAREGIVER I was attracted to become a caregiver when I became the only one called upon to care for my mother after she was stricken with a stroke. It was truly a test of my patience and endurance, however, I realized how rewarding it was to provide care and how much it meant to the one being cared for. AS A CAREGIVER : I enjoy most the results of performing to the best of my ability and helping those who cannot help themselves. To me, caring for others is a testimony of unconditional love and giving. PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENT The personal achievement I am most proud of is when I decided to give up my job, put my family on hold, travel to another city and put the care of my mother FIRST, after she suffered a sudden stroke and could no longer take care of herself. I never envisioned being in such a position, but by the grace of God and the skills He provided, my mother is still with us.

As being caregiver my objective is to assist and care to the needs of another.

I became a Caregiver because I'm someone who is always willing to help to lend a helping hand.I also believe in being their for people in need especially the elderly.It gave me great pleasure in assisting my grandparents and other family members when needed I'm proud of being a part of being an active part of my grandparents lives even towards the end.To be able to take care of them .I'm an honest,kind,sweet person that take pride in everything that I do and I give my best and my all.
