I became a caregiver because I am compassionate, empathetic, and I enjoy working with the elderly. I believe our elderly can teach us a lot and we can learn a lot from them; if we would just slow down and listen. I enjoy and derive great satisfaction by helping others; I always have. I have raised two great children by myself and I currently work and continue to take classes. I am constantly learning and experiencing new things and I continue to broaden my horizons. I have worked in the assisted living field for 10 years. My last job was a supervisor role as a medication assistant. I oversaw caregivers and made sure our residents received all the quality care they need. I ordered medication and worked closely with physicians, nurses and Hospice. I worked in the memory care unit and took care of up to 36 residents with Alzheimers/dementia. I am also a medical assistant with a current CPR/first aid certificate. I am able to take blood pressure, monitor blood glucose levels and inject insulin.

Professional and prompt I've been caregiving professionally for 6 years and per diem for family and friends for almost all my life. My mother suffered with alot of ailments and this caused me to be her main caregiver when I was 16. Ever since I've had the passion to help with elder care, I further went to work with children and later with DIDD population. I've recently updated in my courses and CPR. I look forward to providing you best care for the wellbeing of your loved one.

I have decided to go into the caregiver field after being in the nutritional health line of work for 22 years. I have my certification in CNA assistance and have enjoyed the need people need when they are alone or unable to do it for themselves. Hospice is a goal of mine. I have worked in assisted living and a dementia ward for training. Sitting, listening, caring touches and a smile.

I bring in strong work ethic, multitask, team player, and a dedicated individual. I am a mother and grandmother. I enjoy taking care of people and making them smile. I am a lover of all God's people. I left the medical field to begin a new adventure with opening a small business which also cares for others. (furry friends) I believe it is in my nature. Though I have a successful business, I realized how much I miss taking care of those who might need a little help.

I always wanted to help other people out than my Family. So I became a caregiver. I love working with the Clients that I work with and they gain trust in me and also the family. I can do a lot when it comes to caregiving. The most thing I love about caregiving is that I live when I come in to meet the support person that I will be taking care of will always have a smile on face and that they will love having me around because I work hard and don't never disappoint them. I'm Proud to just be the best caregiver that I can be to the support person and to the family.

My name is Fernando i am 19 Years old, i joined caregiver.com because i am looking for another source of income, right now i work at bed bath and beyond and i go to university of phoenix, i am studding psychology my goal is to complete my associate degree and get a job where i can help others less fortunate and also in need. When i interact with other people i do not treat them as job but as person who i can help and i always love to help other people. when i was 16 my grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer, as time progress she was not able to take care of her self so i began to take care of her, i made sure she ate (i am a great cook), took her medicine, and made sure her every single need was taken care of but she past away after some years. At this moment my aunt who i live with has a damaged nervous system, so she can walk only to a minimum so i take care of her by getting her food drinks helping her up and down the stairs and to the bathroom occasionally. I became a caregiver to make a difference. I love being a caregiver because it allows me to help others and make their lives a little easier. A personal achievement of mine that I am proud of would have to be giving birth to my beautiful Babygirl. I strive to do better and be better everyday.
