I did not intend to become a CNA, I did it to help me to get into LVN school, but I had the opportunity to practice at 2 long term care facilities and found I really enjoyed working with the older population, and I gave me a tremendous amount of datisfaction, so much so in fact that I wish to continue with long term care as an LVN after I pass my board exam. What I like best is the ability to make a difference everyday, and the relationships that I build with the residents I care for are tremendously valuable to me. One of my proudest achievements is the facility I was working for asking me to take a position as an assistant director of staff development because of my commitment to being a patient advocate. Nursing is in my blood and it is what I was born to do, I can't wait to get back out there and be back in the patient care setting doing direct patient care and trying to make a difference on resident at a time.

I became a caregiver because I love to help people. It gives me great pleasure to know that I was able to make someone's day that much easier. I am caring, compassionate, and empathetic, as well as punctual and hard working. I have my CNA certification and I an cpr certified and registered through two medicaid agencies in the area. I have experience in all areas including working with those with dementia.

1. Not long ago I volunteered at a nursing home. I really enjoyed helping the patients in their needs. I tried to apply as a caregiver, yet there was not any openings for the job. 2. I like helping elderly people. 3. when I was a volunteered at Plymouth Tower (nursing home) I worked so hard to get every single patient to like me. 4. I am a very positive outgoing person. I like to smile a lot. I personally think that a smile can change someone's day for the better. I really like to spend time with elderly people.

I have been a home health aide for the elderly & disabled, for about 8 years of my life..it has been my passion for many years; i have dealt with many extensive aspects of the caregiver role too; such as dementia, & Alzheimer's disease. I find it fulfilling & rewarding to be a caregiver. One of my personal achievements is raising 2 happy & healthy children of my own. hello my name is sara 5 years ago i became a personal care aide because i knew thats what my hart loved to do, i have been taking care of people almost my whole life and i really just wanted to spread the love! what i love the most about being a care giver is that i see and feel the greatness in people, i love to help as much as possible my goal is to make people smile and try to make them feel like they can do things on their own.. i am a very cheerful proud mother of 2! and when i am not at work i am around them being an amazing kid just like them! i love to have fun and i am very out going : )
