Hello my name is Chanda. I am a teacher and I absolutely love helping people. I've been teaching for 14 years with 2 of the years being here in Ga. I've always wanted to be in a position to help people. I started out as a caregiver. I did car giving for 8 years before becoming a youth counselor. After being a youth counselor for 4 years, I got my Master's in Education and I have been teaching now for 14 years.

I have received training in both physical therapy and hospital settings. My expertise in Kinesiology aids in addressing mobility concerns with home bound patients. During my various hospital placements, I have worked with all age groups. Although I was unable to complete my nursing degree, I earned valuable skills that would positively impact my role as a caregiver. Personally, I would enjoy being a caregiver, because I always enjoyed the patient care side of nursing. Patience to attend to each individual's needs is not always afforded in a large hospital setting. The in-home setting allows the building of a relationship, so that the patient can build trust in me as the caregiver.

At 18 years of age I moved in with a relative who suffers from scoliosis. From my first patient to now, I have learned the importance of patience and kindness. I am a very loving, selfless, young lady who loves being able to assist others. As a caregiver I have the honor of assisting others in their day to day lives. I have a love and gift for service of others; whether it's humans, animals, or plants. In all of my day to day activities I find that I receive the most satisfaction when I'm assisting others in some way. Whether it's help with daily chores, organizing, or just a friendly ear to talk to, I put my best effort in everything I do! My passion for caring for others began when I was a little girl. My mother was confined to a wheelchair and she had no use of either legs; yet she was absolutely one of the most positive people I've ever met. I love asking questions and seeing the world through someone else's eyes; especially eyes that have seen this beautiful world go through so many phases. Being a caregiver to me is so much more than just a job. It's about doing something that I'm passionately GOOD at, something that brings my heart joy. I'm an avid go-getter and love being put on projects! As a mother myself, I definitely know how important it is to ensure that all who are under my care are safe, happy, loved, and know how grateful I am to be of service to them!
