Hi! I'm Lyla. I have a passion for senior care work. I myself have assisted in helping my father until his last day battling cancer and Agent Orange. Just recently I have cared for my mother aiding her through her stages of Dementia and hospice care. I have worked 5 years as an Assistant Manager for an independent Senior Living Facility here in New Braunfels and am currently working as an independent through Carelinx . My experience is broad. I care deeply for seniors and get along well with everyone. I am empathetic to making sure they enjoy their final days compassionately, peacefully and within their own home. I have always been in the field of helping people. I started off working at Country Home Learning Center and cared for infants through age thirteen. I became a CNA and then I enrolled at Brightwood College in the LVN program to continue my education. I love the interaction I have with each of my clients, getting to know them and their history.

I became my Mother's caregiver in order for her to be able to stay in her home for five years until she passed . I was my Father's caregiver until it was medically necessary for him to go to a facility for the treatment he needed. After the passing of my parents I felt that caregiving was my calling in order to help other families with their loved ones , I currently work in an assisted living and memory care facility. I am comfortable with working with dementia care and daily needs including bathing , feeding, transferring, cleaning and hygiene care. Anything I can assist with I am happy to do it .

My name is Margaret. I have been part of the nursing field for 15 years. I am a certified nursing technician, medical assistant, certified nursing assistant and wound care specialist. I am a very caring, loving and compassionate person. I treat patients as if they were my own family. I have experience in checking vitals, administering medication, wound care, meal prep, travel arrangements and general care. I have worked with a variety of patients including elderly with Alzheimer's and dementia. I have also worked with long and short rehab patients.

I love being a caregiver I love people I love to help those in need I'm a very caregiving person very outgoing love to talk to listen have a huge heart I love being a caregiver because I get to have a purpose in someone's life to help them take care of them give them that support and understanding most can't give there loved ones

My traits that I have that betters my care giving is the fact that I'm very thoughtful and caring no matter the person I have a heart for everyone. What attracted to me to being a care giver i'd that i love to make people happy and make everyone feel equal i know how difficult and frustrating it is to have disabilities so to help them find that balance makes me feel like i've done a good job what I enjoy most about home health work again i love to see people happy and for others to know that their family is safe and taken care of. A personal achievement that i'm proud of is when i graduated

What makes me a great caregiver? I am very alert, my number one priority is making sure the senior I am caring for is taken care of to the fullest extent, enjoy helping others, I have a huge heart, I make it a priority to be on time to my shift. the world needs more people who enjoy caring for the elderly and that's why I started caregiving, it truly is the best choice I have made, I am proud to say I am a caregiver. seniors have more wisdom than I could ever imagine having at my age, having a conversation with the senior I am caring for is the most enjoyable part of caregiving.

I personally feel as if I'm a great care giver because I'm empathetic and always take the time to understand how my patient/ patients feel. I try my best to make my patients feel as if they are not only in control but make sure they still feel a sense of independence. What makes me a great caregiver is I'm always Willing to listen to the patient or child. I love listening to there little stories they tell .I also make sure that the patient has everything they need before I leave for the day.I became a caregiver because I wanted to experience the job and never have worked before my first job I had was awesome they were about 10 residence I had to help most of them but not all. I had end up loving it at the end. What I like about being a caregiver is just making sure everyone is have an awesome day and Just being bless to be able to work with them. A personal achievement 2020 has been crazy from my grandma passing away from the virus to my mom catching it I just pray everything will get better but I'm also proud of myself I was able to get my first apartment another car and also enrolling in college Grand Canyon university

I'm an awesome caregiver in that I bring a cheery upbeat energy and sincerity. I like to make differences in other people's lives everyday. I am loyal, trust-worthy, courteous, respectful and a very open book kind of person. Clients usually look forward to my visits because I treat them like people.. they contribute a lot to our country/communities history, their wiser than us all and we can learn from each other, and I love talking and getting to know people esp clients. Though, I do get attached personally. Mainly, if I invest in getting to know the person, most likely I will get attached because I am a very caring person and relate to others' pain or trouble. Your loved ones never have to feel alone with me. I am very approachable and giving. Often this can be where the families assume it to be my weakness and then start taking my position for granted or advantage. Please don't. Then I will have to remove myself as the clients aide and the next aide will not be as amazing to your loved one as I am. My care is genuine because it's not a job for me, it's something I am called to do. Thank you. Take care of each other.
