Some of my personal traits that help me be a great caregiver include empathy, compassion, patience, attentiveness, dependability and trustworthiness. I took on the role of a caregiver in 2010 and again 2016 when my own parent needed hospice care. I and am currently employed to date with the same company. I enjoy providing physical and/or emotional care for client/patients that can no longer do so for themselves. Although it can be challenging at times, it can also be a very rewarding job as well. My greatest achievement that I am personally proud of has to be raising my 3 children on my own. The second and equally important personal achievement was caring for my own parents when they needed home care. Lastly, the ability and will power and determination to go back to college and receive my BBA in my adulthood has to be one of the most gratifying personal accomplishment I did for myself.

I have many personality traits that make me the perfect candidate. I'm patient, positive, funny, always willing to help, and love to help people. What attracts me to caregiving is I have excelled and learned so much of the importance of caregivers that truly care by taking care of my Mother-in-Law. I am so specific on how things need done and I also became an expert unfortunately caring for my mom before she passed. I love getting to know my companion, laughing with them, alleviating any stresses they are having, and letting them know they're safe and taken care of as long as I am there. A personal achievement I am proud of is not only caring for my terminally sick mom, but also somehow maintaining running her business while still always being there for whatever she needed. It was the hardest part of my life, but I was forced to grow up quickly to take care of her the way she had me my whole life. I dropped out of college at Texas Tech and put all my time and energy into her.

As a caregiver, I will provide assistance for my clients with their daily activities. I am committed to making them feel safe and comfortable. I am also patient, an excellent communicator, and will do the work expected of me.

In 2007 I helped my Mother take care of my Father who had prostate cancer. During that time Hospice took over and I continued to help my Mother and sadly my Father passed in 2008. In 2017 after Hurricane Harvey hit Rockport, TX. I temporarily moved back to San Antonio. It was during my stay that my Mother's Dr., stated to me my Mother could no longer live by herself. And without hesitation I became my Mother's 24/7 Care Provider. And sadly she passed in 2018. I have a strong desire to care for those who need caring, whether by Companionship or as their Care Provider. I enjoy listening to their stories; cooking and most importantly seeing them smile and laugh. My personal achievement is that upon my decision to make my move back to San Antonio, I asked God what He wanted me to do? In His small quiet voice, He put it in my heart for me to go move home and take care of my Mother. And that is exactly what I did.

Although caregiving is a challenging career, it is one where I've found immense compassion, love, and reward. I enjoy learning for each client that I get the honor of taking care of. Every elderly man and woman have so much wisdom in their own right. I love listening to their stories and learning something from each person. I'm very proud to be a published author. One of my former clients used to help me brainstorm story ideas and new subjects for my poetry. I enjoy reading books with my clients and sharing the day together.

Hi, my name is Paulina Orellana! I feel that I am a good caregiver because I am very nurturing when it comes to those who are in need. I haven't had a professional or "real" job in the health industry, however growing up with an older brother who is cerebral palsy has taught me a lot. Seeing the time and effort my parents have put into my brother has made me grow to appreciate and respect all types of caregivers. My biggest achievement is how I was able to grow and learn about my brothers condition and what I needed to do to help him. As a dedicated caregiver to elderly residents of assisted living and memory care communities, I am an excellent match to the caregiver opportunities Since 2014 I have worked as a caregiver for different senior care Company, where I assist residents with dementia and Alzheimer's disease with daily living needs. I graduated High School in 2013 and went on to further my education at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in December 2017. Since graduation, I have been living in my hometown of George West, TX. I have worked with many people since graduation and each position I held allowed me to strengthen my communication skills but more importantly, showed me the type of work that I am interested in, which is being a caregiver. As a ex psychiatric nurse assistant, I am very familiar with helping both male and female patients, and attending to their needs such as companionship, food help, supervision along with constant care. I am quite attracted mainly to anything mental health related, but this also falls under that area and so I am more than comfortable working with someone who needs me. I enjoy most helping people and making sure that they are okay first, and that their needs are met. A personal achievement I am quite proud of, would be getting through the intense training procedures that the mental hospital provided, and it's because of that that I feel very well rounded and accomplished within this profession.

I worked in a mentally disabled group home for two years. I cooked, cleaned, helped with dressing and bathing, as well as transportation. During my two years with this company, I got to know the individuals personally and established friendships throughout the home. I am a caretaker first, but am always ready to lend a listening ear and just good ole companionship.
