My name is Gisselle Beltran, currently a student from SWTJC, my goal is to become an RN. My empathy for others is a strong trait I have. Empathy helps me understand how people/patients are. I always follow the golden rule, treat others as you want to be treated.

My father after retirement was in an accident which left him paralyzed. I had the opportunity to help take care of him when I was able to visit him in Texas. He has recently passed. I know the feeling of having to pass the responsibilities to someone and having the anxiety of always wondering if they are caring for your loved one the way you would. Im at a time in my life where I would like to give comfort to a family that may be need of assistance of help with a loved one. I love my job! I enjoy taking care of residents and helping them in any way I can. I get along with everybody. I used to take care of my mother at home. I took care of her for years ....assisted her with showers, feeding, transfers, toileting, medication...she had parkinsons...
