I have always loved being a caretaker and have always been in one way or another. I am a certified medical assistant and I have performed patient care for over 20 years. I have taken care of students with various medical needs for a total of 9 years. I take care of a brain aneurysm survivor for more than 15 years, assisting with bathing, medication, shopping, cooking and any other daily needs. Being a caretaker is my passion. What makes me a great person for this position is that I love to sit and talk to someone who is older than me. I love to hear their stories about their lives 'back in the days' and when they were younger in their teens. I stayed with my grandma growing up mostly. I helped alot with her personal care needs such as arohnd the house chores, errands, bathing her and etc. I lost my mom due to Renal Kidmey Failure in 2005. I graduated in 2008 with her watching over me in the sky. I have to say i made her proud by graduating on time and that is one of my biggest accomplishments.

I am able to exceed all expectations of how to handle the elderly with care. When my grandmother fell ill to a stroke I cared for her throughout that process and continued to show her care and love. Being bedridden is not fun so to help alleviate some of the pain that comes with any type of aliment is my pleasure. Giving patients the dignity and respect they deserve in a trying state is the best thing I can offer.

I became a caregiver on behalf of my grandmother when she was became ill with cancer I stood by her bedside for year and since then caregiving has been apart of my life I feel like every time I'm in the presence of a senior I'm in the presence of my grandmother and I show that same love and respect that I would do my grandmother to everyone I take care of and assist with daily activities of their life. I assist patients with personal service such as grooming, bathing, dressing, making sure they eat right, and transfers. I m very familiar with memory loss and Alzheimer mental disability and I always make sure that my patients are comfortable and happy, while making sure they have a safe and secure environment. Im a hard worker, trustworthy, honest, loving, caring and very respectful. I know Im the perfect person for this great opportunity.

What makes me a great care giver, is that I care. I choose to be one because I love taking care of others, I take care of my grandmother and am currently working in a senior living facility as well. I've been doing this since my junior year. I'm now a high school graduate and ready to get on my feet, so I can be able to afford and have better jobs when I go to college.
