Hello! I'm Elizabeth and I have a soft spot for taking care of people, whether it's young children or the elderly who aren't able to take care of themselves 100% anymore. I started taking care of my grandparents, mostly my grandmother, at the time when I was about 12 years old all the way up until she passed away when I was 18. Being able to help her in ways she wasn't able to made me feel like I was giving back to her, and my whole family. I loved cooking and baking things for her and keeping her company. I would also run errands for her, go shopping for groceries and other things of that sort. She became my best friend. I put 100% into everything I did for her. And now I take care of my grandpa when he needs me too, I do his taxes for him and run errands with him. A couple of years after she had passed I went and was a dietary cook/aide at a retirement home, I wanted to keep giving back and helping the elderly as much as I could. If something was on the menu and I knew some of the residents didn't particularly like what was going to be served I would go to each room and ask if they would prefer something different for the meal. I wanted everyone to feel like they mattered to me. One of the things that really makes me feel good about being a caregiver is when I can tell I make their day better. Seeing them happy made my heart smile. I'm most proud of myself for how far I have came in life. I didn't have many real friends growing up, I was always way to nice to everyone and I was always taken advantage of by my peers. I have learned that not everyone is perfect and that's okay.

I believe a caregiver should be kind loyal and attentive to the clients needs. We are hired to care for people and show respect and give them dignity and respect. I enjoy helping people and getting to know them.

I have a big caring heart for the people I care for. I was attracted to go into healthcare after living in with my grandmother the year before she passed and taking care of her day in and out until her last days. I enjoy being the person people depend on to be there and I enjoy taking care of people as much as I can. And I am most proud of being the only to step up and take care of my grandmother and being able to be there for her day in out and getting to hear all of her stories even if she told me the same one 100x's over !!

I enjoy my job as a caregiver, I' am very happy caring , I have a very postive personality eager to help with anything that needs to be done. Ability to care for seniors has always sparked my interest. For me I enjoy helping them with the care it takes to be their for them and their families.. i am very proud of myself for always staying positive open minded, working with seniors getting involved taking that extra step to assure all their needs are met at all times.. when i leave at the end of the day, I feel good to know that I was able to put a smile on my client faces . Also taking the stress off them and their loved ones..

I been a cna for 8 yrs..im a very caring hard working preson ..being doing caring when my grandma got sick abd i cared for her so off into it since ...it help me to be a great caregiver to see my client s with a smile on there face...achievememt is to make there day

I became a caregiver because I love to help people and also to help me get myself closer to my goal of being a nurse. I love meeting the new people around me and listening to all the different stories of their lives. My personal achievement that I can say I am proud of is alway caring for my residents, also making sure their ADLs are done for the day. Something about myself is that I am a caring, honest and hard working person. Also currently working towards my Bachelor's in Nursing degree. I have a 8 month old son named Jace and he is my world I would do absolutely anything for him, that is why I feel the need of expanding my opportunities in the healthcare field.

Its funny my grandma was a RN and my mom did home health the whole time I was growing up. And I swore i would NEVER do it. Well in 2007 when recession started I kept losing one retail job after another. So I ended up having to move back in with mom. She offered to pay for me to take a CNA class and I could pay her back with my taxes. So I did. And i haven't stopped yet I have gone further and received my Certified Medication Aide license as well and hopefully will be able to continue my education in nursing some day. I like being there with the families, If i can be the person to lighten your load or even help understand a little whats going on. I love my patients and residents. They brighten my day. I know its work and my job but I feel that we help each other. I have a huge family with 13 brothers and sisters and the families I work with are just an extension of that.
